  • Patent number: 8553593
Abstract: A method for performing communication using a frame structure that supports a half-frequency division duplex (H-FDD) operation and a device using the same are disclosed. A base station performs resource allocation scheduling to support H-FDD user equipment operation in a mobile communication system. For example, the base station allocates first, second and last uplink subframes for idle subframes within a specific frame or punctures them, so that the H-FDD user equipment does not use the uplink subframes. The base station transmits the scheduled resource allocation information to the user equipment through a superframe header, a preamble and a MAP. The user equipment which has received the scheduled resource allocation information (subframe index and location that can be used by the user equipment) transmits and receives a signal based on the resource allocation information.

  • Patent number: 8547896
Abstract: Disclosed is a method in which a relay node transmits/receives signals via a specific downlink subframe and a specific uplink subframe. The relay node may consider the propagation delay in accordance with the distance between a base station and the relay node to set a subframe timing for transmitting/receiving signals to/from the base station. The relay node may further consider the delay time of 0.5 symbol, 1 symbol or the like in addition to said propagation delay in the event of setting a downlink receiving timing. Setting an uplink subframe timing of the relay node can be divided into the event the timing is set on the basis of a backhaul link and the event the timing is set on the basis of an access link. In the event the timing is set on the basis of the access link, the propagation delay can be double that of the event the timing is set on the basis of the backhaul link, which should be considered in setting the timing.

  • Publication number: 20130235827
Abstract: A method of allocating control information in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes: allocating essential control information of a first system to a first sub-frame in a frame including a plurality of sub-frames each of which comprises a plurality of orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols; and allocating essential control information of a second system to an nth sub-frame in a fixed position from the first sub-frame (where n is an integer satisfying n>1). Accordingly, in a frame supporting heterogeneous systems, essential control information can be fixedly allocated to a specific position while maintaining the number of system switching points, at which switching occurs between the systems, to one even if a radio resource allocation amount changes between the systems, and thus the essential control information that must be received by all user equipments can be effectively provided without the increase of overhead.
