  • Publication number: 20100298031
Abstract: A method for transmitting an information unit of a specific layer above a physical layer through a plurality of frequency allocation bands managed by the specific layer and transmitting control information identifying each of the plurality of frequency allocation bands. The control information includes a second ID into which a first ID has been converted, the first ID identifying each of the plurality of frequency allocation bands in the physical layer, the second ID identifying each of the plurality of frequency allocation bands managed by the specific layer in the specific layer. To accomplish this, a timing offset is applied to the entirety of a frame or to a preamble (synchronous channel) so that the timing offset is used as the ID. Applying a timing offset to the entirety of a frame or to a preamble (synchronous channel) can achieve an advantage of PAPR reduction.

  • Publication number: 20100284477
Abstract: A signal transmission method in a multiple antenna system is described. The signal transmission method includes, upon receiving channel state information from a receiving end, estimating a channel according to the channel state information, determining a precoding matrix according to the estimated channel and modifying the signal of the transmitting end using the precoding matrix in a process of mapping a symbol of the signal to a subcarrier, and transmitting the signal to the receiving end. According to the present invention, pre-equalization of a transmission signal can cause a receiving end to perform coherent combination, reduce pilot density by decreasing unnecessary pilots, and reduce interference within a cell or between cells.

  • Publication number: 20100284339
Abstract: A method of transmitting cyclic prefix length information when wireless access systems having different cyclic prefix lengths coexist is disclosed. The method of transmitting cyclic prefix length information comprises including the cyclic prefix length information in a preamble; and transmitting the preamble to a receiving end, whereby a transmitter can notify the receiving end of a current cyclic prefix length. Also, in a specific interval where a super frame header is defined, a single cyclic prefix length is used in a legacy support mode and a legacy disable mode, and cyclic prefix length information of other data or control channel is included in the super frame header and then transmitted to the receiving end. If different CP lengths are used in a legacy support mode of an evolved system, it is possible to solve a problem in detecting a control channel or a data channel, which may occur as the CP lengths are not distinguished from each other after preamble detection.
