  • Publication number: 20090173098
Abstract: The present invention relates to an ice-making device for a refrigerator. The present invention provides an ice-making device for a refrigerator including a main body having a storage space and a door selectively opening or closing the storage space. The ice-making device comprises an ice maker installed on a backside of the door and making ice; a cold air duct provided in one side of the storage space and supplying the ice maker with a portion of cold air supplied to the storage space; an ice maker cover detachably installed on the backside of the door to selectively open or close the ice maker; and an ice bank detachably installed on the backside of the door below the ice maker, the ice bank storing ice made in the ice maker and transferring it to a dispenser provided on the door. According to the present invention, there is an advantageous in that a storage capacity of a refrigerator can be used to the full extent, and smell of food can be prevented from permeating ice in a process of making ice.

  • Publication number: 20090064703
Abstract: The present invention relates to an ice-making device for a refrigerator. An ice-making device for a refrigerator according to the present invention comprises an ice maker 161 for making ice, which is provided on a backside of a door 131 of the refrigerator; and an ice maker cover 171 for selectively opening or closing the ice maker 161. Fixing recesses 173 are formed to be open downwardly on outsides of both sides of the ice maker cover 171, and receive fixing protrusions 135a provided at corresponding positions on opposite sides of a pair of support steps 135 that protrude rearward from both side ends of the backside of the door 131 by a predetermined length and are formed to be elongated in an up and down direction.

  • Publication number: 20080244869
Abstract: The present invention relates to a door handle for a refrigerator. In the present invention, a decoration 40 is installed in a seating channel 36 provided in a handle bar 30. The seating channel 36 with the decoration 40 installed therein is shielded by a transparent or translucent handle cover 42. Cover end coupling pieces 45 are provided at both ends of the handle cover 42 and coupled with coupling ribs of a handle bar body 31 of the handle bar 30 or a cover base 34. The cover end coupling pieces 45 protrude and extend from both ends of the handle cover 42 to be perpendicular to other portions. A luminous body or jewel may be used as the decoration 40. With the door handle of the present invention constructed as above, the aesthetic sense of the door handle is improved to meet various consumers' demands for design, and the handle bar 30 becomes more firm to enhance the reliability of the door handle.

  • Publication number: 20070228911
Abstract: A refrigerator comprises: an inner case that forms a storage space; a plurality of fixing members coupled to the inner case so as to be protruding to the storage space, for preventing a foaming agent applied to a rear surface of the inner case from leaking to the storage space; and a guide rail fixedly-coupled to the fixing members, and to which a storage means is slidably coupled. Since components for slidably coupling a storage means to the inner case are simplified and an assembly process is facilitated, a production cost is reduced and a productivity is enhanced. Furthermore, the components for slidably coupling the storage means to the inner case are firmly coupled to the inner case, and a foaming agent is prevented from leaking to inside of the inner case, thereby enhancing the reliability of the product.
