  • Publication number: 20170288258
Abstract: Provided is a flexible battery. A flexible battery according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes: an electrode assembly; and an exterior material in which the electrode assembly is encapsulated together with an electrolyte, in which the electrode assembly and the exterior material are formed such that patterns for contraction and extension in a longitudinal direction have the same directionality when the flexible battery is bent. As such, the patterns for contraction and extension in the longitudinal direction are formed on both of the exterior material and the electrode assembly, thereby preventing or minimizing deterioration in the required physical properties even though the flexible battery is bent.

  • Patent number: 9683544
Abstract: A wave power generating apparatus is provided. A generator including a housing and a drive shaft coupled to the housing is coupled to a floating part that is floatable on a sea. The drive shaft is positioned on an extension of the center of rotation extending from the housing. A first rotary unit is coupled to the generator housing, is rotatable in a first direction together with the housing about the extension of the center of rotation, and includes a first blade able to pivot about a first pivot axis perpendicular to the extension of the center of rotation. A second rotary unit is coupled to the drive shaft of the generator, is rotatable in a second direction opposite to a direction in which the first rotary unit rotates, and includes a second blade able to pivot about a second pivot axis perpendicular to the extension of the center of rotation.

  • Patent number: 9592895
Abstract: Disclosed herein are an underwater docking system and a docking method using the system. An exemplary embodiment of the present invention relates to a system for docking a target body on a docking station under water, the system comprising: a guide unit provided to the docking station to transmit at least one guide signal to the target body; an agent unit connected to the docking station by a smart cable and disposed at a position spaced apart from the docking station so that the agent unit is moored under the water in a direction corresponding to a tidal current; and the target body configured to be guided toward the agent unit by the guide signal and then connected to a portion of the agent unit.

  • Publication number: 20160283619
Abstract: Disclosed herein are a sonar-image-simulation method for image prediction of an imaging sonar and an apparatus using the sonar-image-simulation method. The sonar-image-simulation method includes the models of ultrasound beams of the imaging sonar, a target object, and a background on which the target object is placed, which have been described as multiple straight lines, multiple polygons, and an infinite plane, respectively. The method also includes calculating intersection points of the multiple straight lines with the multiple polygons or the infinite plane to derive image data needed to construct simulated sonar images. Based on the computed image data, the method can construct the simulated sonar images of any arbitrary-shaped object.
