A mobile terminal according to one embodiment includes a touch screen capable of outputting screen information corresponding to a specific function, and a controller capable of controlling the touch screen to output a function key for controlling an output state of the screen information when it is detected that force of a touch applied to the touch screen is more than a preset first force, and capable of controlling the touch screen to change the function key to a function icon for executing a different function from the specific function when it is detected that the force of the touch is changed to a second force or more while the function key is output, the second force being stronger than the first force.
