  • Patent number: 10954898
Abstract: A system for connecting housing elements of a device for heat transfer having a housing with a first housing element and a second housing element which are connectable with one another with face sides oriented toward one another and via a connection under form closure. Housing elements are herein in contact on another with side margins developed in proximity of front faces. The first latching elements are implemented as recesses each with a flat surface oriented in parallel to front face. On an outer side of side margin of first housing element between each first latching element and front face, a shaping is developed protruding from side margin, which comprises on a side facing first latching element a flat surface disposed in the plane spanned by flat surface of first latching element. Flat surfaces of first latching element and the shaping form a contiguous bearing area for second latching element.

  • Publication number: 20190292979
Abstract: An intercooler of a liquid-cooled precooler and an air-cooled main cooler. Between two distributor/collector units, disposed at end sides, with sealing plate several layers of flat tubes for charge air are disposed. Flat tubes in the region of the precooler are spaced apart in parallel via flat tubes for coolant of the precooler in thermal contact with the flat tubes and the flat tubes in the region of the main cooler are spaced apart in parallel via outer fins for cooling air. The precooler includes of several layers of flat tubes for coolant which form in the horizontal direction a U-shaped flow channel with an inlet zone, an onward-flow field, a deflection field, a return-flow field and an outlet zone for coolant. Inlet and outlet zones of individual layers of flat tubes are directly connected with one another in the vertical direction and disposed on one side on the intercooler.

  • Patent number: 10066881
Abstract: A sealing element for a heat exchanger is defined by an elongate main body. An aspect ratio of the main body is greater than 1:1, wherein a height of the main body is greater than a width of the main body. The sealing element includes a plurality of enlarged portions spaced at predetermined intervals along a length of the main body. The enlarged portions have a width greater than the width of the main body, and are laterally offset inwardly with respect to the main body. The sealing element further includes a plurality of lugs protruding laterally from the main body. First pairs of the lugs are alternatingly arranged with the enlarged portions of the sealing element. Second pairs of the lugs are spaced along ends of the sealing element. Single ones of the lugs also protrude laterally outwardly from the enlarged portions.
