The optical transmitter module includes a substrate, a ground layer disposed on the substrate, an electro-absorption modulated laser (EML) chip disposed on the ground layer to generate an modulated optical signal, a ground structure disposed on the EML chip and electrically connected to the ground layer, a matching resistor disposed on the ground structure, and a first bonding wire disposed between the EML chip and the matching resistor to electrically connect the EML chip to the matching resistor.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method by a docking center of assisting communication between a dockee and a peripheral device to which the docking center is connected, including transmitting, as a group owner of a first group, to the dockee, information for a direct connection between the dockee and the peripheral device, receiving an assist request for setting the direct connection based on the information, transmitting a response indicating whether the assist request is accepted, receiving a release request for releasing a connections between the dockee and the docking center and between the docking center and the peripheral device, terminating control of the peripheral device, receiving a joining request for requesting to join a second group, transmitting a response for joining the second group as a client, the dockee being set as a second group owner, and operating as the group owner of the first group and the client of the second group.

Abstract: A device and method for providing an augmented reality (AR) image are provided. The device includes a display configured to alternately display a first image including an object at an object position and a second image including a mask for blocking transmission of light incident on the display at the object position; a processor configured to determine a time period and control the display to alternately display the first image and the second image during the time period; and a polarization switch configured alternately polarize the light incident on the display at a switching period determined based on the time period.

Abstract: A charging control method and system for an electric vehicle are provided. The charging control method includes monitoring, by a controller, a state of an auxiliary battery including a state of charge (SOC), temperature, and charging current of the auxiliary battery. A charging mode of the electric vehicle is then determined based on the monitored state of the auxiliary battery. A charging voltage of the auxiliary battery is set based on the monitored SOC and temperature of the auxiliary battery and then the auxiliary battery is charged with the set charging voltage.

Abstract: A method of setting by a docking center a direct connection between a dockee and a peripheral device in a wireless docking network is provided. The method includes grouping peripheral devices depending on each service in association with the peripheral devices and performing a setting of authorization for a corresponding group; and providing a docking service to the dockee which joins in the group while supporting a direct connection with at least one of the peripheral devices.

Abstract: A method for controlling functions of a Management Device (MD) included in a home network is provided. The method for controlling the functions of the MD by a Control Device (CD) in a home network system including the CD for controlling functions of an Electronic Device (ED) connected to a home network and the MD, the functions of which are managed by the CD, includes diagnosing at least one function performed by the MD; identifying information necessary to control the at least one function; and transmitting, to the MD, control information for controlling the at least one function, in consideration of the information necessary to control the at least one function.

Abstract: Systems and methods for facilitating a purchase are described. A user logs in to a payment service provider site. The user provides authorization to use a one-page checkout service. The user's information is captured during the session, and a cookie is placed on the user's device. When the user goes on a merchant website and checks out using the payment service provider, the payment service provider detects the cookie on the user device. The payment service provider uses the cookie, and in one embodiment, centrally stored information, to populate the one-page checkout page with the last used payment. In various embodiments, the one-page checkout page also displays a shipping address.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for transmitting data on a wireless connection is provided. The method includes selecting a device to receive data; transmitting, to the device, a first signal including attribute information about the data, before an establishment of a wireless connection with the device is completed; receiving, from the device, a second signal indicating whether the transmission of the data is accepted by the device; and establishing the wireless connection with the device to transmit the data through the wireless connection, in response to reception of the second signal indicating the transmission of the data is accepted.

Abstract: A system and method for charging a plug-in hybrid vehicle can improve the on-board charging efficiency of the plug-in hybrid vehicle by adjusting a frequency of operation of a cooler when cooling an on-board charger (OBC) by circulating coolant when the temperature of the OBC rises while a high-voltage battery is being charged. The operations of a water pump and a radiator fan are controlled by determining whether the voltage of the high-voltage battery is within or out of a reference voltage range in which the on-board charging of the high-voltage battery is performed. This consequently prevents power from being unnecessarily consumed by operation of the cooler, such that the efficiency of charging is improved and the OBC is properly cooled.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a display film and, more particularly, to a display film comprising a substrate layer and a coating layer formed on one surface of the substrate layer, wherein a first critical radius of curvature measured in a direction in which the side surface of the coating layer becomes concave is at most about 10 mm, and a second critical radius of curvature measured in a direction in which the side surface of the substrate layer becomes concave is at most about 5 mm. The display film according to the present invention has a high surface hardness while exhibiting superior flexibility in both directions vertical to the plane direction of the film and thus is suitable for application as an outer window film for a display and particularly has the property of being applicable to a flexible display.

Abstract: A motor speed control method and system for improving the performance of a running resistance evaluation of a hybrid electric vehicle are provided. The method includes determining whether a vehicle satisfies a running resistance evaluation start condition. When the vehicle satisfies the running resistance evaluation start condition, the speed of a motor is adjusted, which adjusts an input speed of a transmission to be equal to an output speed of the transmission. A speed adjustment of the motor is then completed using the speed of the motor and the output speed of the transmission.

Abstract: A method for controlling a transparent tunnel mode operation in a Wireless Dockee (WD) in a communication system supporting a wireless docking protocol is provided. The method includes performing a group join process and a provisioning process for security keys with a Wireless Docking Center (WDC); accessing services of a Wireless Docking Environment (WDN); selecting an operating mode between the WD and the WDC as a transparent tunnel mode; performing a process of getting information related to a peripheral with the WDC; requesting the WDC to enable a monitor mode and a promiscuous mode; and transmitting/receiving a data packet using the information related to the peripheral with the peripheral if a Miracast connection and a docking session are established between the WD and the peripheral.
