For releasing and rolling the ball, the thumb is instantly slipped out of the hole, followed by the middle finger and the ring finger while spinning the ball. Accordingly, an elasticized cotton tape with gravure printed acryl resin adhesive having different effects depending on actions of the fingers is attached to the thumb, the middle finger and the ring finger to obtain effective bowling results, wherein the thumb tape slides easily and the finger tape provides better grip, based on differing amounts of hardener in the adhesive.

    Abstract: A method for extracting a histogram and a cumulative distribution function (CDF) value for an image enhancement apparatus, and a circuit therefor are provided. The histogram extraction is performed during an active section of a video signal. The level of an input digital video signal is input as an address of a memory, and a data value stored at the address is increased. The processes are repeated during a one-screen period, thereby obtaining a histogram value indicating the number of samples distributed to each gray level. Also, a CDF value of each gray level is obtained by cumulatively integrating the number of samples from the lowest gray level on the basis of the histogram value obtained, during a vertical blanking period of the video signal. Therefore, the histogram/CDF extracting circuit can be built of simple hardware and an integrated structure, even though it performs both histogram and CDF extractions.

As a result, the line memory of 4H used in a device of doubling a line speed of a G channel signal can be reduced to 1H.

A second memory receives G2 channel data of a 1H period from a G2 CCD and outputs the written data at twice the speed of the writing speed. A selection device selects the data from the first and second memories alternately and outputs the selected signals sequentially as a wide bandwidth G signal.

The memory is used for writing video data synchronized with the first frequency in response to the write enabling signal and reading the written video data synchronized with the second frequency in response to the read enabling signal. The memory has at least the capacity of storing pixel data corresponding to the difference between the first frequency and the second frequency. The power consumption of an aspect ratio converter is reduced by converting an aspect ratio using a FIFO memory. A miniaturized device and high-speed performance can be attained. Further, the number of control signals necessary for reading and writing data from/in the memory is reduced.

    Abstract: In video signal processing circuitry detail enhancement is done on each of three color channels in response to the detail information, the enhancement of the detail in each color channel being done in reliance on separated high-spatial-frequency information originally contained in that channel, as long as it is sufficiently greater in amplitude than a reference level somewhat above that expected for thermal noise. When the amplitude of the detail information originally contained in a channel is insufficiently above that reference level, the thermal noise is suppressed by subtracting the separated high-spatial-frequency information therefrom. The same filter arrangements are used to separate high-spatial-frequency information for suppressing thermal noise in each color channel as for enhancing the detail in each color channel.
