    Abstract: A device-adaptive connection establishing method and system for a mobile terminal that is capable of identifying an external device based on a variation of signals exchanged between the mobile terminal and the external device and establishing an electrical connection adaptive to the external device is provided. A device-adaptive connection establishing method of the present invention includes detecting a connecting of an external device to the mobile terminal, detecting a signal transmitted between the external device and the mobile terminal, comparing the signal with previously stored reference values, and determining a type of the external device based on a result of the comparison.
