Abstract: A method for receiving downlink control information is provided. The method includes receiving configuration information comprising a bit-map corresponding to a set of time occasions that are separated by a same interval; identifying at least one time occasion to monitor a candidate physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) on at least one search space; and decoding the candidate PDCCH in the identified at least one time occasion for obtaining the downlink control information.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are provided for a User Equipment (UE) to receive control information. A downlink bandwidth and a Downlink Control Information (DCI) format to be monitored are identified. An aggregation level is identified based on the identified downlink bandwidth and the identified DCI format. Control information is received based on the identified aggregation level.

Abstract: A system and method for transmitting multi-carriers in a wireless communication system with a relay are provided. The method includes configuring each of downlink carriers that form the multi-carriers as at least one normal sub-frame and at least one backhaul sub-frame; determining one of the downlink carriers that has a maximum number of backhaul sub-frames, as a primary carrier, and other downlink carriers as sub-carriers; and altering a backhaul sub-frame into a normal sub-carrier in the sub-carrier, in response to a normal sub-frame of the primary carrier.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for allocating control channels of a relay within a backhaul subframe in a wireless communication system is provided. The method for allocating control channel resources includes grouping relays according to channel conditions; transmitting resource group information on the same resource group allocated to use the same transmission mode for the relays belonging to the same relay group; transmitting a control channel message to the relays according to the allocated resource; and transmitting data to the relays according to the control channel message.

Abstract: A method is provided for allocating resources of a control channel in a mobile communication system using Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM). The method includes, when a time index and a frequency index of available Resource Elements (REs) are defined as 1 and k, respectively, dividing the available REs in a two-dimensional structure of (k, 1); and time-first-allocating each RE to a plurality of RE groups while increasing the time index 1 for each frequency index k from an initial value up to a predetermined range.
