  • Patent number: 8457632
Abstract: The system and method of the present invention comprise: receiving a registration request from a first femto base station from among the femto base stations in the femto zone that share a backhaul link; storing the registration of the femto base station and determining the first femto base station as a master base station or a candidate base station in accordance with the registration request; and transmitting, to the first femto base station, a registration acknowledgement message which contains the maximum backhaul link capacity of the femto zone and master base station information if the first femto base station is determined to be master base station, or a registration acknowledgement message which contains master base station information and candidate base station information if the first femto base station is determined to be the candidate base station.

  • Patent number: 6185420
Abstract: In a Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) Mobile Communication System, a method for testing the functionality of a call control processing program executed on a call control processor in a base station controller comprises simulating a mobile switching center that exchanges communications with the base station controller. The functionality of the call control processing program is tested by using the simulated mobile switching center.

  • Patent number: 6141554
Abstract: Method for processing hard handoff to prevent unnecessary frequent hard handoffs using specific parameters after the first handoff is performed. The method includes the steps of establishing a Guard.sub.-- Time period during which handoff is not performed when a mobile station moves slowly in an area in which the cell coverages of the serving and target base stations are overlapped; and establishing a Guard.sub.-- Level value so that handoff is performed independent of the Guard.sub.-- Time if the strength of the radio wave for the moving mobile station is less than the Guard.sub.-- Level during said Guard.sub.-- Time. The Guard Time period prevents hard handoff even when a base station controller receives a request for handoff based on information received from the moving mobile station. Although the base station controller prevents the hard handoff dependent on the Guard.sub.-- Time, the base station controller permits soft handoff and softer handoff to occur normally. The Guard.sub.-- Time and Guard.sub.
