  • Patent number: 5574331
Abstract: An in-line electron gun for a color picture tube has an accelerating electrode portion separated into two or three electrodes in a triode, in which a voltage supplied to respective electrodes is varied and an asymmetrical hole is formed in at least one among the electrodes to form an additional asymmetric lens, thereby preventing degradation of a focus characteristic caused by an abrupt increase of a diverging angle of electron beam in a high current region, degradation in the vertical electron beam due to an influence of a magnetic field of a deflection yoke, change of focusing force induced by voltage variation of a first accelerating/focusing electrode, and degradation of the electron beam owing to collision/repulsion among electrons in the electron beam.

  • Patent number: 5571343
Abstract: An austenitic stainless steel and a manufacturing process therefor are disclosed, in which, instead of the expensive Ni, there are added Cu as an austenite (.tau.) stabilizing element, and tiny amounts of Ti as a ferrite forming element and B for improvement of high temperature hot workability, so that the optimum Md.sub.30 temperature and the optimum delta-ferrite content can be controlled, thereby improving the formability, the season cracking resistance, the hot workability and the high temperature oxidation resistance, and reducing the surface defects during the hot rolling and saving the manufacturing cost by reducing the content of Ni. The austenitic stainless steel according to the present invention includes in weight %: less than 0.07% of C, less than 1.0% of Si, less than 2.0% of Mn, 16-18% of Cr, 6.0-8.0% of Ni, less than 0.005% of Al, less than 0.05% of P, less than 0.005% of S, less than 0.03% of Ti, less than 0.003% of B, less than 3.0% of Cu, less than 0.3% of Mo, less than 0.

  • Patent number: 5532547
Abstract: An electron gun for a color cathode-ray tube, adapted for large television sets or high-definition monitors, has first and second quadrupole electrodes connected to a static voltage focus electrode and to a dynamic voltage focus electrode, respectively, to form a quadrupole lens. The first quadrupole electrode is composed of first electrode pieces connected to the static voltage focus electrode and arranged on left and right sides of three beam-passing apertures formed on the static voltage focus electrode, and each of the first electrode pieces has at least one arc having a radius identical to or larger than that of the beam-passing apertures. The second quadrupole electrode is composed of second electrode pieces connected to upper and lower portions of the dynamic voltage focus electrode, and each of the second electrode pieces has arcs having a radius identical or larger than that of the beam-passing apertures. The first electrode pieces are inserted inside of the second electrode pieces.
