Abstract: A method for manufacturing a thermal interface material is provided. The thermal interface material including a thermal conductive filler, a polymer matrix having an elastic force and applied to the thermal conductive filler, and an insulating coating layer applied to sides of the thermal conductive filler and the polymer matrix may be manufactured by: providing the thermal conductive filler in a plate film form as a filler material forming the thermal conductive filler is dissolved in a solvent; and coating the thermal conductive filler in a plate film form with the polymer matrix. As such, the high heat radiation thermal interface material (a maximum of thermal conductivity of 20 W/mK) may be manufactured in more various thickness than the conventional thermal interface material (a maximum of thermal conductivity of 5 W/mK).

  • Publication number: 20140363719
Abstract: apparatus for indirectly cooling and heating a battery module of an eco-friendly vehicle can maximize the heat-radiant performance of a battery, thus preventing volume expansion due to heating. The apparatus includes a thermally and electrically conductive interface plate embedded by overmolding a plurality of heat pipes and electrodes placed between the heat pipes closely between battery cells. A heat sink, that is a condensation part, is integrally connected to an upper end of the heat pipe on an air cooling channel of a battery housing. The apparatus can further improve the battery performance and prevent decreased output of a vehicle by heating the battery to an appropriate temperature under cold starting and low temperature environments.

  • Patent number: 8771438
Abstract: Disclosed is a plasma nitriding surface treatment method for a gray cast iron part. In the plasma nitriding surface treatment method, a nitride layer is formed on a surface of the gray cast iron part by a selective ion nitriding treatment. The plasma nitriding surface treatment method is carried out such that the surface of the gray cast iron part is prevented from being deformed, and a reduction of the frictional coefficient of the part is prevented.

  • Publication number: 20130075208
Abstract: Disclosed is a uni-body type heterogeneous material brake disk. In particular, the brake disk includes a friction part configured to be selectively in contact with a pad; and a hub joined with a bearing. More specifically, the friction part and the hub are made of heterogeneous materials through a uni-body type mold. To accomplish this, a connector connecting the friction part and the hub which are vertically spaced apart from each other is laterally spaced apart from the hub, and a bottom of the connector is connected with the hub. In doing so, an elevated platform is formed to prevent a casting from running over between the connector and the hub and an interface made of heterogeneous materials is formed in the connector.
