  • Publication number: 20120306866
Abstract: A 3D-image conversion apparatus, a method of adjusting depth information of the same, and a storage method thereof are provided. The three-dimensional (3D) image conversion apparatus includes a depth information generator which generates depth information with regard to an input image; an object detector which detects an object having parallax exceeding a preset range in a left-eye image and a right-eye image corresponding to the input image based on the generated depth information; a depth information adjuster which adjusts depth information of the object by adjusting the parallax of the detected object to be within a preset range; and a rendering unit which renders the input image according to the adjusted depth information. With this, a viewer's fatigue can be minimized in the case of converting a 2D image into a 3D image.

  • Publication number: 20120293617
Abstract: Provided are an apparatus and a method for converting 2D contents into high quality 3D contents at a low cost, and a computer-readable medium thereof. The method of converting the 2D contents into the 3D contents through a content converting apparatus includes: selecting a key frame from among plural frames of 2D contents that are video contents; extracting an object from the selected key frame; assigning depth to the extracted object for conversion into 3D contents; performing tracking on another frame other than the key frame from among the plural frames; and performing rendering on the key frame and the other frame. Accordingly, it is possible to convert 2D contents into high quality 3D contents at a low cost.

  • Publication number: 20090027551
Abstract: A method for processing a video signal and a video display apparatus using the method are provided. The video display apparatus compares a current video field to a previous video field two fields earlier than the current video field, detects motion information, and de-interlaces the current video field using the detected motion information. Therefore, it is not necessary to wait until the next video field is input in order to detect motion information regarding the current video field, and thus it is possible to prevent video delay.

  • Publication number: 20070160025
Abstract: A method for allocating reverse traffic channels at the time of handoff in a CDMA communication system, comprises the steps of: upon receiving a handoff request from a control station at a target base station, setting a Search Center Offset (SCO) to a Round Trip Delay (RTD) value received from a serving base station, and setting a searching area (S±?) to an area wider than a reference searching area (S) in view of an error (?) in the RTD value; dividing the searching area into a number of sub-areas, and allocating reverse traffic channels such that each reverse traffic channel covers its corresponding sub-area; monitoring the reverse traffic channels to determine whether a mobile station has been acquired; and if the mobile station has been acquired, releasing the remaining reverse traffic channels except for the reverse traffic channel which has acquired the mobile station.
