Abstract: A system for controlling an aerial vehicle includes an autonomous control computer that detects a runway to estimate a state information error of the aerial vehicle, and a flight control computer that obtains state information of the aerial vehicle and transmits a determined flight mode of the aerial vehicle to the autonomous control computer when the flight mode of the aerial vehicle is determined as an autonomous flight mode based on the state information of the aerial vehicle.

Abstract: Disclosed are a flight control apparatus for an aerial vehicle and a method of operating the same. The flight control apparatus includes a communication circuit that establishes communication with a control system and receive first information related to operation information for controlling flight of an aerial vehicle from the control system, a sensor that obtains second information related to flight data of the aerial vehicle, a memory that stores a prediction model for predicting a flight state of the aerial vehicle based on the first information and the second information, and a flight parameter estimation value including at least one of a landing gear spring coefficient, an aerodynamic coefficient, a friction coefficient, an control surface effect, a thrust coefficient, or inertia moment or any combination thereof or any combination thereof, and a processor that is electrically connected to the communication circuit, the sensor, and the memory.

Abstract: Disclosed are an apparatus and method for controlling an aerial vehicle. The apparatus includes a camera that obtains an terrain image during flight, a sensor that obtains scan information of a landing point of the aerial vehicle, and a controller that estimates a location of the landing point based on the terrain image if it is determined that the landing point is recognized in the terrain image, determines whether an obstacle exists at the landing point based on the scan information, and determines whether landing of the aerial vehicle is possible based on a determination result.
