Since the semiconductor device comprises a recess filled with a gate spacer, a gate threshold voltage can be maintained even though the ion-implanting concentration of the active region is not uniform. The semiconductor device comprises: a device isolation film that defines an active region formed over a semiconductor substrate; a line-type recess with a given depth formed to be extended along a first direction to intersect at the active region; and a gate formed to be extended along a second direction to intersect at the active region, wherein a spacer including a high K material is disposed at sidewalls.

Abstract: Provided are a method and system for providing a multicast service in a next-generation network (NGN), which can improve the quality-of-service (QoS) of broadcast services by separating a routing path calculation function and a resource allocation function during the setting of a multicast broadcast channel and enabling a resource control server to perform centralized resource control. In the method and system for providing a multicast service in an NGN, a multicast router calculates a routing path, and a number of multicast routers on the calculated routing path issue a request for resources for a desired multimedia broadcast channel, and a resource control server allocates resources to the multicast routers on the calculated routing path.

An EPG server of the IPTV service controlling apparatus includes a program creating module configured to create an electronic program guide by use of information about contents and an interface module which is connected to an internet protocol television (IPTV) terminal through a predetermined session, provides the IPTV terminal with the created EPG through the session, receives a keyword from the IPTV terminal through the predetermined session and searches for a content including the key word through web browsing.

Abstract: A hot blast heater capable of heating air using solar energy and providing hot air for daily life is provided. The hot blast heater includes a chamber, a lifting part, a control part and a pump. The chamber is configured to form an accommodation space to accommodate air, has an inlet/an outlet which are formed through a lower part and an upper part of the chamber, respectively, such that indoor air is received through the inlet and air inside the chamber is discharged through the outlet, and is formed using light passing material or thermal conductive material. The lifting part is installed lengthwise along two facing sides of the window to lift the chamber such that the air inside the chamber is heated through sunlight or solar heat introduced through the window. The control part controls operations of the lifting part. The pump is installed at the outlet of the chamber to forcedly discharge the heated air inside the chamber to an indoor space.

Abstract: A semiconductor device and a method for forming the same are disclosed. The semiconductor device includes a semiconductor substrate including an active region defined by a device isolation film, a trench formed in the device isolation film and the active region, a gate electrode formed at the bottom of the trench, and a high dielectric material layer formed not only over the top of the gate electrode but also over a surface of the trench. As a result, although the gate electrode does not overlap with the junction region, the semiconductor device prevents channel resistance from being increased, resulting in an increase in semiconductor device characteristics.

Abstract: Group handover method and apparatus in a broadband wireless communication system which supports a mobile relay station are provided. A method of a serving base station for group handover of the mobile relay station includes when receiving a measurement report message from a relay station, determining whether the relay station is a mobile relay station of a simple type which forwards a signal; collecting handover related information of the mobile relay station and mobile terminals belonging to the mobile relay station, from pre-stored information; requesting handover of the mobile relay station and the mobile terminals by transmitting the collected handover related information to a target base station; and receiving a message indicating whether the handover of the mobile relay station and the mobile terminals is approved, from the target base station.

Abstract: A process for the selective oxidation of olefins to epoxides comprising the step of contacting the olefin (propylene or ethylene) with an oxidant (hydrogen peroxide) in the presence of a Lewis acid oxidation catalyst (MTO), organic base (pyridine or its N-oxide), in a solvent system comprising an organic water-miscible solvent (methanol). The system is pressurized using either the olefin itself or by adding an inert pressurizing gas (nitrogen) to increase the pressure between 230 and 700 psi at a temperature between 0.7 and 1.3 times the critical temperature of the olefin. The resulting increased solubility of the olefin in the organic solvent system increases the selectivity and yield of the desired epoxide (propylene oxide or ethylene oxide).

Abstract: A cell reselection method and system based on a cooperative scanning of the mobile relay station and mobile stations is provided for facilitating cell reselection procedure in a Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) system. The cooperative scanning method for a moving wireless network including a mobile relay station and at least one mobile station according to the present invention includes transmitting, at the moving wireless network, a scanning request with cooperative scanning duration to a serving base station; assigning, when a scanning response, neighbor base stations to the mobile relay station and at least one mobile station; scanning, at the mobile relay station and the at least mobile station, the assigned neighbor base stations; and transmitting scanning results to the serving BS station.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for controlling Internet Protocol television (IPTV) service is provided. The IPTV service controlling apparatus includes a service control unit and a display information providing unit. The service control unit is configured to conduct a user authentication based on user information of an Internet Protocol television (IPTV) terminal, create Electric Program Guide (EPG) information according to a request for EGP information made by an authorized user, transport the created EPG information to the display information providing unit and provide the IPTV terminal with an IPTV service that is requested using the EPG information by the user. The display information providing unit processes the EPG information to correspond to an environment of the IPTV terminal based on information about the IPTV terminal and provides the IPTV terminal with the processed EPG information.

Abstract: Provided are a seamless service method controlled by a user terminal, the method including: storing radio access technology (RAT) information and service flow information associated with a connecting radio access network (RAN); when a new link is detected, storing RAT information associated with the new link; verifying whether a new RAN satisfying a handover initiation criterion exists; when the new RAN exists, attempting a link connection with the new RAN; being assigned with an Internet Protocol (IP) to be used in the new RAN; setting up a handover service flow using the new RAN; and receiving a service via multiple paths using a connecting service flow and the handover service flow. Through this, it is possible to provide the seamless QoS even while the handover is being performed.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and a device for controlling the hand-over message transmission power of a mobile station in a mobile communication system. The present invention comprises the processes of: acquiring uplink data relating to a hand-over target base station; using the uplink data to determine the maximum transmission power of a hand-over ranging message; and transmitting a hand-over ranging message having a power level below the determined maximum transmission power to the hand-over target base station.

Abstract: There are provided a method and a system for controlling restriction on viewing multimedia contents. In the control of viewing multimedia contents through a terminal, contents transmitted to the terminal are restricted on a network according to a predetermined restriction condition to provide contents based on the user of the terminal. When it is required to change the restriction condition, the restriction condition can be remotely set and changed using a network for a specific user. Accordingly, restriction on viewing contents according to the user can be effectively controlled and the restriction condition can be effectively administrated to provide additional services.

The servo track writer includes a disk hub, on which a plurality of disks are mounted, a magnetic head assembly to write servo information on the disks mounted on the disk hub, a spindle motor to rotate the disk hub, and a chuck to firmly hold the disk hub. The chuck firmly holds the disk hub at a plurality of points to prevent the central axis of the disk hub from being inclined from the rotating axis of the spindle motor.
