Abstract: A method for connecting wireless communications, a wireless communications terminal and a wireless communications system are provided. The method includes receiving a first signal including assumed configuration data; determining an availability of a wireless communications connection using the assumed configuration data; sending an association request message, if it is determined that the wireless communications connection is available; and receiving a second signal including connection configuration data, which is different from the assumed configuration data, in response to the association request message.

Abstract: Disclosed are an electronic device enabling wireless networking through a wireless network and a network accessing method thereof, the electronic device including: a communicating unit which accesses the wireless network to perform wireless networking; an encoding unit which encodes a signal transmitted from or received by the communicating unit; and a controller which controls the encoding unit to encode identification information of the electronic device, in response to the electronic device being powered on, and controls the communicating unit to initiate an access to the wireless network based on the identification information encoded by the encoding unit. Accordingly, an automatic access to the wireless network is initiated when the electronic device is powered on, without any special manipulation by the user, thereby enhancing convenience to the user.

Abstract: A remote control is provided including a plurality of sensors which sense movement of the remote control, and a control unit which turns on at least one sensor of the plurality of sensors and thereby senses movement of the remote control, and determines whether to turn on or off the remaining sensors according to whether or not the at least one sensor senses movement of the remote control. Consequently, battery consumption is reduced.

Abstract: A method for providing a Graphical User Interface (GUI) and an electronic device using the same are provide. The method for providing a GUI includes receiving rotation information from an external input device by sensing movement of the external input device, and changing a display state of information output on a display using the rotation information of the external input device. Therefore, a user can output setup information conveniently, and user's convenience is provided.

Abstract: A DSP (Digital Signal Processing) architecture with a wide memory bandwidth and a memory mapping method thereof. The DSP architecture includes: a first communication port; first, second, and third memory devices, which are connected with the first communication port and are arranged in a first row direction of the DSP architecture; a fourth memory device, a calculation element, and a fifth memory device, which are arranged in a second row direction below a first row direction of the DSP architecture; and sixth, seventh, and eighth memory devices, which are connected with the first communication port and arranged in a third row direction of the DSP architecture, wherein the calculation element is connected with the first through the eight memory devices.

Abstract: A method for providing a Graphical User Interface (GUI) for changing a reproducing time point, and an imaging apparatus incorporating the same are provided. The GUI for changing a reproducing time point displays reduction images of specific time points within a time period including a specific time point selected by a pointer, and changes the reproducing time point to the time point represented by the reduction image selected from the displayed reduction images. Accordingly, a user is able to search for a desired time point without going through a plurality of manipulations to change the reproducing time point on the progress bar using the pointer.

Abstract: Provided is a display apparatus including a display panel and a display frame to support the display panel. The display apparatus including an input unit, provided on the exterior surface of the display apparatus, for outputting a contact detection signal when a user contacts the input unit; a signal processor for generating a function adjustment user interface (UI) menu to be displayed on the display panel; and a controller for controlling the signal processor to display the function adjustment UI menu corresponding to the user's contact through the input unit when the user's contact is detected based on a detection result of the input unit. Thus, provided is a display apparatus which improves accessibility to a function adjustment UI menu, simplifies a manipulation process of the function adjustment UI menu, and enables a user to quickly and easily access a desired adjustment item when the function adjustment UI menu is displayed, and a control method thereof.
