Abstract: A balancing device for a drum type washing machine is attached to a spin basket of the washing machine. The balancing device includes annular-shaped races that house balls and oil. The balls are seated in each race, and oil is supplied to the inside of each race through a hole formed thereon. Then, the hole is sealed by a welding process.

Abstract: A cam gear driving apparatus of a VCR which can drive a cam gear by a relatively lower starting torque and has spur gears used as a driving gear and a cam gear so that it is easy to adjust tolerance. The cam gear driving apparatus has a driving source for generating power, the driving source having a driving shaft which has a plurality of protrusions at a position adjacent to a distal end, a support for supporting the driving section, the driving section being attached at one end thereof to a base and being connected at an other end thereof with a cam gear shaft, the driving shaft of the driving source extending through the support, a driving gear for rotating a cam gear, the driving gear being rotatably supported by a boss mounted in the base, and a power transfer section for transferring power generated by the driving source from the driving source to the driving gear.

Abstract: Disclosed is a loading device of a video cassette recorder for draining static electricity of a cassette, which includes a cassette holder for moving a cassette into the video cassette recorder and a static electricity draining member for draining the static electricity of the cassette when the cassette holder moves. The static electricity of the cassette is primarily removed by a first static electricity draining member when the cassette is moved into the video cassette recorder, and is secondarily removed by a second static electricity draining member when the cassette is lowered to a base. Because of perfect elimination of the static electricity of the cassette to be loaded, there are advantages that a perfect loading of the cassette is performed and a screen quality is improved.

Abstract: A drum washing machine includes a tub suspended in a housing, and a spin basket rotatably mounted in the tub. Each spin basket includes oil-filled races that are coaxial with the spin basket, a plurality of balls movable in the races, and oil disposed in the races. The oil is introduced into each race through an oil supply hole while forcing air out through an air vent which is angularly spaced from the oil supply hole, e.g. by 90 degrees.

Abstract: A tape loading device for a video cassette recorder ("VCR") provides a simplified structure and replaces a metal pin with a resin pin molded by an outsert molding method. The tape loading device is characterized in that an intermediate gear drives a pair of loading gears and a number of resin pins supports the intermediate gear and the loading gears.

Abstract: An audio head position adjusting device for use in a video cassette recorder comprises a support plate rotatably mounted on a deck of the recorder, a mounting plate movably supported on the support plate and carrying an audio head thereon, and a unitary resilient member for biasing the mounting plate upwardly. The mounting plate is associated with the support plate by azimuth adjusting screws which are used to adjust a vertical position of the audio head and by a tilt adjusting screw which is used to adjust an inclined position of the audio head. The support plate is provided with a horizontal adjusting mechanism at its outer portion, which is adapted to adjust the audio head in a horizontal direction. The horizontal adjusting mechanism includes toothed lugs provided in the vicinity of a curved slot of a bent flange of the support plate, and an adjusting knob engaged with the toothed lugs of the support plate and rotatably held in a recessed groove of the deck.

Abstract: A head drum grounding system for use with a VCR comprises a spring member coupled to a deck of VCR, and a brush being in contact with the rotary drum. The spring member includes an aperture which is surrounded by a flange. The brush is tightly fitted into the aperture. Accordingly, the spring member and the brush are assembled without an adhesive.

Abstract: A device for measuring tape tension for use in a tape recorder utilizes a guide pole having an external surface portion thereof coated with a piezoelectric material to detect the tape tension.

Abstract: An audio head position adjusting device for use in a video cassette recorder comprises a support plate rotatably mounted on a deck of the recorder, and a mounting plate resiliently supported on the support plate and carrying an audio head thereon. The mounting plate is associated with the support plate by azimuth adjusting screws which is used to adjust a vertical position of the audio head and by a tilt adjusting screw which is used to adjust an inclined position of the audio head. The support plate is provided with a horizontal adjusting mechanism at its middle portion, which is adaptive to adjust the audio head in a horizontal direction. The horizontal adjusting mechanism includes toothed lugs provided at an opening of the middle portion of the support plate, and an adjusting knob engaged with the toothed lugs of the support plate and rotatably held in a recessed groove of the deck.

Abstract: A reel driving apparatus for a videocassette recorder capable of preventing image distortions, failures and noises during the switching of operation modes. The reel driving apparatus comprises a base plate, a supply reel and a take-up reel rotatably mounted on the base plate, an idler disposed between the supply reel and the take-up reel for transmitting selectively its driving force to either the supply reel or the take-up reel, a first and a second swing arms rotatably pivoted at a first and a second pins of the base plate for shifting the idler clockwise and counterclockwise to drive one of the reels, and a slide plate slidably mounted to the base plate for actuating the swing arms by its forward and backward movement.
