Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for transmitting and receiving a stream of content in a distributed storage system. According to the method, a stream of a copy of content is received from a plurality of storages being distributed in a network, wherein an original of the content is stored in a server and archival fragments of the copy of the content are separately stored in the storages, and a stream of the original content is selectively received according to the quality of the copy of the content, wherein the quality is determined based on the number of archival fragments received from the storages. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent degradation in the quality and reliability of content when archival fragments of a copy of the content are received from a distributed storage, thereby stably receiving a high-quality content streaming service.

Abstract: A display apparatus includes a timing controller, a data driver, and display panel. The timing controller outputs a plurality of image signals, a first control signal, and a second control signal. The data driver converts the image signals to first voltages in response to the first control signal, outputs the first voltages, and outputs a second voltage swinging between two different voltage levels in at least one frame unit in response to the second control signal. The display panel includes a plurality of pixels, where each receives a corresponding one of the first voltages and the second voltage to display an image.

Abstract: A network management method for wireless transmission/reception of data streams and a network system and apparatus using the same. The network apparatus for wireless transmission/reception of data streams includes management information on wireless channels used for the data streams transmitted in a wireless manner among apparatuses in a network. Upon occurrence of an event in the network, the network apparatus processes the event by transmitting an event response signal including the management information corresponding to the event or by updating the management information corresponding to the event, thereby managing the wireless channels for the data streams transmitted in the wireless manner among the apparatuses in the network.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for allowing a UPnP control point to recognize various entities. The method includes: generating a device description describing information on the entity in a format according to the standard using the information on the entity; and presenting a role of the device supporting the standard for a control point, which can recognize only devices supporting the standard, based on the generated device description. Accordingly, UPnP can be applied to various entities.

Abstract: A network device having a message receiving module for receiving notify messages transmitted from controlled devices connected in a network, a device list management module for collecting information regarding the controlled devices connected in the network and creating and managing a list of service information of all the controlled devices connected in the network, and a control module for searching for service information of a specific controlled device, which has been requested by a control point, in the device list management module and transmitting the searched information. Since a controlled device has a list of other controlled devices connected thereto in a network, when a message searching for a specific controlled device has been received from a control point, another controlled device can transmit a response message to the control point on behalf of the specific controlled device even though the specific controlled device cannot receive the message from the control point.

The low concentration doped region is formed between the source and channel regions and between the drain and channel regions. The gate insulating layer is formed on the semiconductor layer. The first gate electrode is formed on the gate insulating layer to be overlapped with the channel region. The second gate electrode is formed on the second gate electrode. The gate insulating layer includes first and second regions, and a thickness of the first region is thinner than that of the second region. Thus, electric characteristics of the TFT may be enhanced.
