  • Publication number: 20050158399
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for producing a transparent and homogenized polymeric sol of a calcium phosphate compound, containing apatite and having excellent wettability and bioactivity, according to a sol-gel synthesis, and a method for coating the polymeric sol on a metal implant, in which the polymeric sol is coated on the metal implant and then heat-treated to form a dense coated layer strongly bonded to the metal implant. The polymeric sol is obtained by process of preparing a calcium salt solution, containing calcium ethoxide dissolved in organic acid, and a phosphate solution, containing triethyl phosphite or triethyl phosphate dissolved in the organic acid, mixing the calcium salt solution with the phosphate solution to produce a mixed solution, and aging the mixed solution.

  • Patent number: 6434206
Abstract: A PLL circuit includes a phase detector for detecting a phase error between an input and output signal of the PLL circuit and outputting a pump up and a pump down signal. A charge pump generates a charge pump signal in response to the pump up and pump down signals. A loop filter filters the charge pump signal to generate a filtered signal. A boost-up device coupled to a loop filter output terminal charges a loop filter input terminal, to expedite the filtered signal reaching a predetermined common mode voltage level. A VCO coupled to the loop filter output terminal and the phase detector generates the output signal. A common mode voltage reaching time in the lock-in time is reduced by the boost-up device charging the loop filter to expedite the filtered signal reaching the common mode voltage, when the filtered signal is lower than a predetermined detecting voltage.

  • Patent number: 6142020
Abstract: A pressure and temperature sensor assembly for internal combustion engines is disclosed. The sensor assembly is formed by integrating a temperature sensor part with a conventional MAP sensor into a single structure. In the temperature sensor part, a temperature sensing rod (23) is formed by partially extending downward the bottom case (7) of a MAP sensor at a portion around the lower end of a pressure inlet port (9) of the bottom case (7). A temperature sensor chip (24) is interiorly installed in the temperature sensing rod (23) and is electrically connected to the connection terminals of the top case (1). The sensor assembly is commonly used for sensing both the internal pressure and inlet air temperature of a cylinder.

  • Patent number: 5987996
Abstract: A manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor for internal combustion engines is disclosed. In the MAP sensor, the top and bottom cases (1, 7) of a sensor housing have a plurality of fitting slots (10) and fitting protrusions (11) at their connection edges respectively and are easily and tightly assembled into a single structure through a mechanical fitting and epoxy bonding process. A plurality of support protrusions (12, 12') are internally formed on each of the top and bottom cases (1, 7) and support each side of the circuit board (5), with the circuit board (5) being positioned under the sensor member (4) and allowing the pressure inlet pipe (4') of the sensor member (4) to pass through. A supporting ring (13) and an O-ring (14) are commonly fitted over the pressure inlet pipe (4') of the sensor member (4) and are closely fitted into the enlarged top end of the pressure inlet port (8).
