  • Publication number: 20040132117
Abstract: The present invention relates to an immunoassay and diagnostic reagent for malaria by using antigens of malarial Protozoa. More preferably, the present invention relates to an immunoassay and diagnostic reagent for malaria which detect malaria-specific antibodies in blood by using Merozoite Surface Protein of Plasmodium vivax. The immunoassay and diagnostic reagent detecting malaria-specific antibodies in blood according to the present invention have high specificity and sensitivity and are useful in diagnosing a type of malaria where latent period is long and number of Protozoa in blood if few. Also, the present invention relates to a preparation method of the surface protein of malarial Protozoa using yeast or E. Coli. Preferably, the present invention provides an expression vector comprising genes of Merozoite Surface Protein of Plasmodium Vivax and histidine residues, as well as transformants transformed with the expression vector.

  • Patent number: 6005324
Abstract: A brushless motor has a housing including an upper housing and a lower housing;a P.C.B. installed in the upper housing, a stator provided at an underside of the P.C.B., the stator having a plurality of coil layers piled up with each other and insulation layers interposed between coil layers, the coil layers being electrically connected to each other by a conductance member for generating an electric field, a rotor having permanent magnets which are radially disposed on an upper surface of the rotor in such a manner that adjacent permanent magnets have different poles from each other to generate a magnetic field which makes electromagnetic-interaction with the electric field of the stator to rotate the rotor, and a rotating shaft integrally formed at a center of the rotor so as to rotate when the rotator rotates. The brushless motor is advantageous in that since the coil is uniformly patterned, the magnetic field is uniformly generated.

  • Patent number: 5998946
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for controlling a rotation of a sensorless and brushless DC motor is disclosed. A switching-driving section provides a driving current to each of pairs of phase coils of the motor in order to rotate a rotor of the motor, and provides a test current to each of pairs of the phase coils in order to detect a present position of the rotor. A back electromotive force detector detects a back electromotive force generated from each of pairs of the driven phase coils during a high-speed rotation of the rotor. Position detecting section detects a test or driving current flowing through each of pairs of the driven phase coils during a low-speed rotation of the rotor, and provides a parallel voltage signal of a digital level. Speed detecting section provides a mode selection signal according to a speed of the rotor in response to the back electromotive force signal detected by the back electromotive force detector.
