Abstract: A receiving device and method using a single RF chain includes a reception antenna module radiating a plurality of orthogonal beam patterns to receive a signal, a single RF chain processing a reception signal from the reception antenna module, a signal component extracting unit extracting a reception signal component corresponding to each beam pattern using the reception signal received through the reception antenna module and the single RF chain and a code value previously allocated to the plurality of beam patterns, and a beam pattern controller controlling a beam pattern radiated by the reception antenna module.

Abstract: A control method of an in-vehicle multimedia terminal, the method includes performing communication connection to a mobile terminal. A type of the communication connected mobile terminal and an operating system (OS) installed in the mobile terminal are recognized. A function for automatically searching for a first function is enabled or disabled when the mobile terminal provides the first function. The first function is performed by the in-vehicle multimedia terminal when the automatic search function is enabled. A second function is performed by the in-vehicle multimedia terminal when the automatic search function is disabled.

In general, the subject matter described in this specification can be embodied in a computer-implemented method that includes determining a measure of relevance for a document result within a context of a search query for which the document result is returned, the determining being based on a first number in relation to a second number, the first number corresponding to longer views of the document result, and the second number corresponding to at least shorter views of the document result; and outputting the measure of relevance to a ranking engine for ranking of search results, including the document result, for a new search corresponding to the search query.
