The method includes: receiving user information from a display apparatus; determining whether a terminal apparatus of a user is registered, based on the received user information; when the terminal apparatus is determined to be registered, determining whether recommended content for the user exists, based on pattern information about content usage of the user and content information; and when the recommended content for the user is determined to exist, transmitting a notification message for the recommended content to the terminal apparatus. Therefore, utilization of a notification service for recommended content is further improved.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for managing wireless resources, which can provide a service to improve transmission efficiency when multimedia data is transmitted in a mobile communication system. The wireless resource management apparatus includes a data analysis unit (110) for separating data into a plurality of bit stream layers, which form a layered structure, by analyzing the data according to a predetermined rule, and for detecting amounts of information of respective bit stream layers. A wireless resource allocation unit (130) allocates the bit stream layers to frequency bands based on the amounts of information of the bit stream layers detected by the data analysis unit. The present invention is advantageous in that it can reduce inter-cell interference from the standpoint of an application layer that directly influences users.

    Abstract: Provided is a method and apparatus for coding a wavelet transformed image in consideration of the human visual system (HVS) in frequency and spatial domains. A visual weight is generated by calculating the product of a spatial domain weight, which is generated by using a local bandwidth normalized according to the HVS, and a frequency domain weight generated by using an error sensitivity of a subband in a wavelet domain. Wavelet coefficients are coded and transmitted according to a coding order determined on the basis of the generated visual weight, thereby providing an image with improved visual quality at low channel capacity.
