  • Patent number: 7455820
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a process for removing sulfur dioxide (SO2) and nitrogen oxides (NOx) from flue gas using chlorine dioxide (ClO2). In the process, chlorine dioxide is allowed to react with flue gas in an alkaline solution so as to be able to simultaneously remove sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides from the flue gas. In the simultaneous removal of sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides from flue gas using the process, chlorine dioxide is produced by side reactions, and the produced chlorine dioxide can be used to remove sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides from flue gas.

  • Publication number: 20080241590
Abstract: A method of coating phosphor powder with a composite oxide, and a light emitting device that employs the phosphor powder coated with the composite oxide are disclosed. The method includes mixing a silicon oxide precursor and a precursor of another oxide in water and alcohol to form a primary coating layer on a sulfide phosphor through a sol-gel reaction, heat treating the primary coating layer to form a composite oxide layer of the silicon oxide and the other oxide from the primary coating layer. The method improves moisture stability of the sulfide phosphor compared to a sulfide phosphor coated with a single silicon oxide film.

  • Patent number: 7282300
Abstract: The present invention relates to a lithium secondary battery comprising an overdischarge-preventing agent. Particularly, the present invention provides a lithium secondary battery comprising an overdischarge-preventing agent having superior effects for an overdischarge test and showing 90% or more capacity recovery after the test, by introducing lithium nickel oxide into a cathode for a lithium secondary battery comprising a lithium transition metal oxide capable of occluding and releasing lithium ions as an overdischarge-preventing agent to supply lithium ions such that irreversible capacity of an anode can be compensated or better, thereby lowering voltage of a cathode first to prevent voltage increase of an anode during the overdischarge test.

  • Publication number: 20030013012
Abstract: A watermarking method converts a watermark message (108) into a Frequency Shift Keying (FSK) signal (305) and embeds the FSK signal in a host signal (308). The spectral properties of the FSK watermark signal facilitate its detection (110), even in applications where the watermarked signal is corrupted. Because of these properties, the FSK watermark signal can perform the dual function of identifying the watermark's presence and orientation (406) in potentially corrupted media, and also conveying a hidden message in the host signal.
