The serial bus communication method includes: retrieving available transmission rate to a destination node to which data will be transmitted from a transmission rate table whenever transmitting data through a bus; setting data rate for transmitting the data to the destination node by using the retrieved available transmission rate when the available transmission rate to the destination node is retrieved in the transmission rate table; and transmitting the data at the data rate. Accordingly, transmission performance is improved on a network using a medium with low conductivity.
