  • Patent number: 9808751
Abstract: The present invention relates to a complex filter and to a water purifier including a complex filter. By providing a complex filter for a water purifier including an antibacterial hollow fiber membrane, activated carbon fibers, ion-exchange fibers, and one or more activated carbon layers arranged in an optimized combination, the size of a water purifier can be reduced, and excellent water-purifying performance and an improved service life can be provided.

Date of Patent: November 7, 2017
    Assignee: LG ELECTRONICS INC.
Inventors: Kyunghee Moon, Changho Lee, Hyunhwan Oh, Sangduck Lee, Jeayoul Joung, Jeongil Kye, Min-Joung Kim
  • Patent number: 9610545
Abstract: The present invention relates to a hollow-fibre membrane having a novel structure and to a production method therefor. The hollow-fibre separation membrane of the present invention has an outermost shell surface pore size of between 0.001 and 0.05 ?m and a mean pore size of between 0.01 and 0.1 ?m while having, in sequence from the outermost shell surface, a dense sponge structure, a finger-like sponge structure and a mixed sponge-bead structure; and, because of this specific triple structure, the invention has outstanding mechanical strength, porosity and water permeability alike while also having a high performance whereby it is possible to eliminate even viruses.

  • Publication number: 20130248441
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a preparation method of a hollow fiber membrane for water treatment that involves preparing a spinning composition including a cellulose-based resin, a poor solvent, a plasticizer, and an organic solvent and then spinning the spinning composition on a nonsolvent to form a hollow fiber membrane. Accordingly, the present disclosure overcomes the drawbacks of the conventional preparation method for hollow fiber membranes and thus provides a nano-filter (NF), reverse osmosis (RO) hollow fiber membrane for water treatment that easily enhances the properties of the separation membrane for water treatment and secures high reproducibility and high efficiency at low costs.
