  • Patent number: 11098610
Abstract: In a steam turbine seal packing performance monitoring system, steam pressure is measured by installing a pressure sensor inside a seal packing for preventing steam from leaking, so that pressure information can be transmitted using magnetic field communication in order to externally monitor seal packing performance. The system includes a seal packing unit that is installed on a rotor shaft and has a plurality of seal packs disposed along an axial direction of the rotor shaft; a pressure sensor installed inside the seal packing unit to detect a pressure of steam leaked from inside the seal packing unit and to transmit a magnetic field signal by converting a detection signal indicative of the detected pressure into the magnetic field signal; and an adapter for receiving the magnetic field signal, converting the received magnetic field signal into pressure data, and calculating a leakage amount of steam based on the pressure data.

  • Patent number: 10739203
Abstract: A magnetic field communication system and method is devised for communicating a signal indicating an internal state of a bearing through a magnetic field and for converting the signal communicating through the magnetic field into power to analyze the internal state of the bearing. The system includes a sensor unit disposed inside a bearing and an adapter disposed outside the bearing. The sensor unit includes a sensor to detect a temperature of oil inside the bearing and to output a sensing signal indicative of the detected oil temperature, and an interface to convert the outputted sensing signal into a magnetic field signal and to transmit the magnetic field signal outside the bearing. The adapter receives the transmitted magnetic field signal from the sensor unit and analyzes the received magnetic field signal in order to determine a status of the oil temperature.

  • Publication number: 20190279079
Abstract: Provided is a technology for reducing hardware cost and enabling on-chip learning in a neuromorphic system. A synapse array includes a plurality of synapse circuits, and at least one of the plurality of synapse circuits includes at least bias transistor and a switch connected in series. Synapse circuits in the same row and column direction of the synapse array are connected to each other through a shared membrane line, and a charge amount proportional to a multiplication accumulation operation required for a forward or backward operation is supplied through the membrane line and is converted into a final digital value for output through an analog to digital converter. A virtual look-up table performs in advance a calculation required for a synapse weight update for learning of at least one column of the synapse array and is updated, so that the amount of a calculation required for entire learning is reduced.
