  • Publication number: 20220126448
Abstract: A plurality of safety monitoring units are set on a plurality of loops of a safety monitoring system. A default test program is executed by each of the safety monitoring units. A length of test time of performing the default test program of each safety monitoring unit is compared with a length of verification time to diagnose any abnormality of the safety monitoring unit. When the safety monitoring unit is diagnosed as being abnormal, an abnormality notification is issued, a power switch is immediately turned off to stop the operations of the robot.

  • Publication number: 20130058200
Abstract: A method for calibrating a tilt of an actuator includes the following steps: focusing a light beam projected from an objective lens onto a data layer of an optical disc; utilizing a digital signal processor to output control voltages through an analog driving circuit for driving the actuator to tilt the objective lens, and accordingly recording corresponding displacement signals of the objective lens; fitting a tilt curve through the recorded control voltages and the displacement signals; utilizing the digital signal processor to output a zero control voltage, not through the analog driving circuit, for tilting the objective lens, and accordingly measuring a standard displacement signal; acquiring a bias voltage from the tilt curve according to the standard displacement signal; and calibrating the tilt of the actuator by offsetting a control voltage outputted from the digital signal processor according to the bias voltage for controlling the analog driving circuit.

  • Publication number: 20120216221
Abstract: A method for calibrating steps of a stepping motor used in an optical disc drive is provided. A pick-up head is moved to an origin of the structure. The pick-up head is moved toward a terminal of the structure by a stepping motor. The steps of the stepping motor are recorded until a counter electromotive force of the stepping motor is detected. A predetermined travel distance of the pick-up head is calculated. If the predetermined travel distance of the pick-up head is different from the maximum distance of the structure, then it is decided that the stepping motor has step error, and the steps of the stepping motor are calibrated.

  • Patent number: 7990828
Abstract: A method for controlling focus on a label side of a light-scribe disc divides the label side into several zones, finds the maximum SBAD and the corresponding focus volt and spoke during focusing on each zone, approaches a primary focus volt level curve, compensates a predetermined volt to focus on the label side, checks the maximum SBAD and the corresponding focus volt and spoke between the primary focus volt level curve and the compensation volt on each zone, and approaches a calibrating focus volt level curve to reduce errors.

  • Publication number: 20110002210
Abstract: A method for calibrating an actuator is provided. A reflective reference surface is set. An objective lens is shifted to several calibration positions along the tracking direction in the actuator, focusing is performed at each position, and the shift volt and the focus volt are recorded. The focus volt at a calibration position is set as a standard focus volt, and the focus volt bias at the other calibration position with respect to the standard focus volt is calculated. A focus volt bias curve is formed by curve-fitting the focus volt bias and the shift volt at each calibration position, and a focus volt bias is obtained to compensate the volt along the focusing direction.

  • Publication number: 20080165633
Abstract: The present invention provides a device and method for compensating signal in a light-scribe system. A light processing unit processes the reflection received by a light emitter to form a pulse wave. A microprocessor receives the pulse signal and detects the loss of pulse wave with a detector. A timer counts the interruption time of the pulse wave. A comparator compares the interruption time to a threshold. If the interruption time is greater than the threshold, a pulse generator produces a replacing pulse wave. A logical circuit receives the pulse wave and the replacing pulse wave, outputs the pulse wave from the light processing unit if there is loss of pulse wave, and outputs the replacing pulse wave if there is no pulse wave loss.
