    Abstract: Assembly instruction system includes at least one depth camera, database, processor, and display. Depth camera captures first object image. Database stores multiple known object images and assembly tree. Processor compares first object image with known object images separately to recognize first object corresponding to first object image and a three-dimensional position and orientation of first object, and obtains second object (or some other multiple objects) corresponding to first object according to captured image and assembly tree. Processor generates at least one virtual arrow according to three-dimensional position and orientation. Display displays augmented reality image having at least one virtual arrow added on first object image and second object (or some other multiple objects) image(s). Virtual arrow indicates a moving direction for assembling first object and second object (or some other multiple objects). The above process is repeatedly performed until the whole device is assembled.

    Abstract: A method of rebuilding a 3D surface model is provided herein. The method includes the following steps: obtaining a 3D position and the reflectance parameters corresponding to an object according to the structured light system; building a synthesized image according to the 3D position and the reflectance parameters; then, optimizing the reflectance parameters for the synthesized image until the cost functions are smaller than a predetermined value. The invention presents an optimization algorithm to simultaneously estimate both a 3D shape and the parameters of a surface reflectance model from real objects.

    Abstract: A motion transition method for dynamic images is disclosed. Pre-recorded motion transition data is clustered to generate a graphic structure. Path information for the graphic structure is obtained using a path search operation. Required motion transition data for two motion clips is retrieved based on the path information and is adjusted. Motion clips are merged using real motion data, thus increasing motion variations, enhancing interactions, and reducing labor intensive production and unnatural images.
