  • Patent number: 7336269
Abstract: A control circuit and a method discharging capacitor/transistor, for a liquid crystal display (LCD), are provided. The control circuit includes a signal-off detector and an all-gate-on delay cell. When an LCD power-off signal is detected, a first control signal is transmitted to a power supply module for turning off power except the gate-on voltage, and turning off VGH after a specific delay time. A second control signal is also transmitted to the gate-on-delay cell, so that all gates of the pixel transistors are turned on after a second specific delay time. The charges on the pixel transistor are discharged via a source thereof before the gate-on voltage decreases below a threshold value, such that a residual image phenomenon caused by heterogeneous filming fabrication is reduced.

  • Publication number: 20010037198
Abstract: Methods and systems for providing texts for voice requests are disclosed. According to one embodiment, an audio signal is received from a caller. The audio signal is speech-recognized to produce a spoken text that contains one or more key words referring to a piece of information interesting to the caller. The key words are processed with a local search data set to formulate an identifier linking to the information that may be locally or remotely obtainable. As a result, a caller is relieved from an otherwise strict requirement that the caller has to speak every single word of an identifier of a piece of information.

  • Publication number: 20010029452
Abstract: Methods and systems for improving speech recognition accuracy is disclosed. The speech recognition accuracy is improved through dynamic verifications of a list of marked words, symbols, phrases or identifiers. According to one embodiment, a counter is designated to one or more words in an identifier that is highly demanded in a voice interactive system. When the counter exceeds a threshold or there is a need, the one or more words are marked and stored in a database. The one or more words are provided to minimize ambiguities between two words/phrases that might be pronounced indistinctly.
