  • Patent number: 11966133
Abstract: An electronic device is disclosed. The electronic device includes a substrate, a plurality of color filters disposed on the substrate, an optical film disposed on the plurality of color filter, and a defect disposed between the substrate and the optical film. The optical film has a first base, a protective layer on the first base, and a second base between the first base and the protective layer and having a first processed area. In a top view of the electronic device, the first processed area corresponds to the defect and at least partially overlaps at least two color filters.

  • Patent number: 11060322
Abstract: An apparatus for latching a door having a latching member; a retention cam wherein the retention cam further comprises an extended face and is rotatable about its axis; a spring; a locking member; an actuator; a push out member; and a driving member; wherein the actuator drives the driving member to remove the locking member from contact with the retention cam and the driving member drives the push out member to push the latching member away from the retention cam. The apparatus is capable of assisting both in the latching and unlatching of the device.

  • Publication number: 20200115927
Abstract: Provided is a locking mechanism incorporating a cost-effective, non-contact lid or door sensing switch that is housed in a hydrophobically sealed enclosure. The lid or door position sensing feature is quiet in operation. The lid or door position sensing switch and the lock position sensing switch both carry high electrical power without the need for additional electrical components. The design also incorporates a spring-loaded lid or door pawl or a breaking pawl that protects the latch from catastrophic failure from a force open event making the appliance inoperable after the occurrence of such an event, thus requiring either the user (or a technician) to replace the pawl in order to operate the appliance.

  • Publication number: 20200115923
Abstract: Provided is a locking mechanism for a consumer appliance comprising a lid or door position sensing feature incorporating two magnets in a repelling relationship. One magnet is incorporated into a lid pawl and the other magnet is incorporated into a switch actuating component inside of the locking mechanism such that their like poles are facing each other to repel each other when the pawl is moved into the actuation zone of the locking mechanism. By nature, magnets tend to seek attraction alignment, therefore a repelling alignment is contrary to the natural tendency of magnets. Structural rigidity is required in the locking mechanism to hold the magnets in the repelling state. Consequently, it is not easy or intuitive for a user to defeat this sensing method with another magnet.

  • Patent number: 9958167
Abstract: A latching assembly uses a flat sheet metal chassis with electrical switches, an electrical motor driving a cam, a push rod, a hook, a spring, and various actuators/levers. When a first actuator/lever is moved by an outside force, a circuit connection may be opened or closed depending upon the configuration of the electro-mechanical system. This will generate a signal which will allow current to flow to a motor. The motor will, in turn, drive the cam which will push a second actuator/lever to move and cause a hook to move from a first, non-latching position to a second, latching position. The assembly is useful for latching an oven or other appliance door when operating at high temperature.

  • Patent number: 9335056
Abstract: A latching assembly uses a flat sheet metal chassis with a first and a second electrical switches, an electrical motor driving an eccentric cam, a push rod, a hook, a spring, and a first and a second actuator rods. When the push rod is moved axially by an outside force it opens a circuit connection held closed by the spring on the push rod. This allows current flow to a motor which drives the eccentric cam and pushes an actuator rod to move axially against a hook causing it to move from a first, non-latching position to a second, latching position. The assembly is useful for latching an oven when at high temperature.
