  • Patent number: 6854900
Abstract: A method of fabricating a WDM unit consists of attaching a first and a second GRIN lenses to opposite faces of a WDM filter. A dual fiber pigtail and a single fiber pigtail are mounted in corresponding glass tubes. The glass tube with the dual fiber pigtail and the glass tube with the single fiber pigtail are mounted on the second GRIN lens and the first GRIN lens respectively. The position of the dual fiber pigtail and the single fiber pigtail are adjusted with respect to the second GRIN lens and the first GRIN lens respectively to obtain the best optical property. The invention prevents the WDM filter from tilting during temperature variation by sandwiching the WDM filter in between the two GRIN lenses, and further prevents the WDM unit from increasing the reflection loss and insertion loss.

  • Patent number: 6512574
Abstract: A light receiving circuit of a laser range finder comprises a photo-sensitive element, a conversion resistance amplifying loop, a main amplification loop, and a one shot circuit. The photo-sensitive element converts a light signal into a current signal. The conversion resistance amplifying loop is connected with the photo-sensitive element for converting the current signal into a voltage signal. The main amplification loop is connected with the conversion resistance amplifying loop for amplifying the voltage signal. The one shot loop is connected with the main amplification loop for shaping the voltage signal into a digital signal by which the range-finding computation is accomplished by the laser range finder.

  • Publication number: 20020171754
Abstract: A digital camera with a multi-illuminating source has a microprocessor connected with a flash lamp driver, a laser driver and a CCD sensor. The flash lamp driver and the laser driver are respectively connected to a flash lamp and an IR LD. The CCD sensor is further connected with a memory and a filter. The microprocessor controls the flash lamp driver and the laser driver to emit flashlight light signals or infrared light signals respectively via the flash lamp and the IR LD toward a target. A reflected light signal from the target is converted into a digital photo signal by the CCD sensor and then stored in the memory. Because the digital camera combines the flash lamp and the IR LD, the digital camera is suitable to be operated in any condition despite the surrounding light limitation.

  • Patent number: 6466307
Abstract: A laser range signal-processing device comprises a timing interval generator, a microprocessor unit, a programmable delay unit, a laser transmitter, a laser receiver, a high gain amplifier circuit and a memory. A signal-processing method of the laser range finder includes a first step in which the measurement block number and the laser emission time are set up. Thereafter, the sampling of the laser reflection signal of each block is done in sequence so as to determine a block in which an object is located. A laser beam of a predetermined delay time is emitted to the block in which the object is located. The reflective laser signals are sampled and processed to attain a precise distance between the laser range finder and the object.
