  • Publication number: 20050103127
Abstract: A torque sensor including a first step formed on an inner peripheral surface of a sensor housing, a second step formed on an outer peripheral surface of a detection coil assembly, the first and second steps axially supporting each other, and a groove formed on the outer peripheral surface of the detection coil assembly at a position adjacent to the second step such that the groove faces an inner surface portion of the first step, so that the first step penetrates the groove while being plastically deformed when the detection coil assembly is pressed toward the first step, thereby causing the detection coil assembly to be fixed to the inner peripheral surface of the sensor housing.

  • Publication number: 20050088039
Abstract: A pump of an electronically-controlled brake system including a bore formed in a modulator block to communicate with inlet and outlet ports formed in the modulator block, a piston connected to a spindle of a motor arranged at one end of the bore, and arranged in the bore such that the piston reciprocates in the bore, and a cover coupled to the other end of the bore to define a compression chamber between the cover and an end of the piston facing the cover. The compression chamber communicates with the outlet port. The pump further includes an outlet valve to open and close the outlet port to allow oil in the compression chamber to be discharged from the compression chamber, an inlet passage formed in the cover to transfer oil in the inlet port to the compression chamber, and an inlet valve arranged in the compression chamber at an outlet of the inlet passage, and fixed to the cover to open and close the inlet passage. The inlet valve operates in opposite to the outlet valve.

  • Publication number: 20040135429
Abstract: A brake traction control valve is disclosed. The brake traction control valve includes a valve core, a shell, an armature, an exciting coil, a plunger, a return spring, a closing member and a relief spring. The valve core has an inlet to allow inside and outside of the valve core to communicate with each other, and a valve seat provided with an orifice therein. The shell having a dome plus cylinder shape is coupled to the valve core to cover one end of the valve core. The armature is placed in the shell to move forward and backward. The exciting coil is placed around the shell to cause the armature to move forward and backward. The plunger is placed in the valve core to move forward and backward to selectively open and close the orifice while moving forward and backward. The return spring returns the plunger and the armature to open the orifice. The closing member is located in an end of the plunger to move forward and backward to selectively open and close the orifice.

  • Publication number: 20040130206
Abstract: A pump for anti-lock brake systems, which has inlet and outlet check valves with improved structures capable of enhancing the operational performance of the pump while drawing or discharging brake oil into or from the pump. In the pump for the anti-lock brake systems, the outlet check valve is a ring-shaped elastic body that is installed in an outlet path. The outlet check valve is elastically deformed to discharge brake oil during an oil-discharging mode, and elastically restores an original shape thereof to prevent a reverse flow of the discharged brake oil during an oil-drawing mode. The pump thus prevents the reverse flow of the brake oil, reduces operational noise, and simplifies a process of producing elements of the pump, resulting in a reduction in the production costs of the pump, due to the inlet and outlet check valves.

  • Patent number: 6752473
Abstract: An electronically controlled brake system for automobiles is disclosed. This brake system has a low/intermediate pressure accumulator, which is connected to both the NC-type solenoid valves and the oil suction line so as to store pressurized oil discharged from the wheel brakes during an ABS pressure reducing mode, and feed the stored pressurized oil to the inlet of an oil pump during an ABS pressure increasing mode. This accumulator also stores pressurized oil outputted from the oil pump to feed the stored pressurized oil to the inlet of the oil pump during an ESP mode. The low/intermediate pressure accumulator of this invention thus acts as a low pressure accumulator during an ABS mode, and acts as an intermediate pressure accumulator during an ESP mode. Due to such a low/intermediate pressure accumulator, it is possible to reduce the number of parts making up the brake system.

  • Publication number: 20040113487
Abstract: A pump for anti-lock brake systems which is constructed so that a piston, an inlet check valve, and an outlet check valve are integrally assembled with each other and are mounted in a bore, thus enhancing an assembling efficiency and brake oil suction performance of the pump. In the pump, the piston reciprocates by a motor, the inlet check valve is provided at an end of the piston, and the outlet check valve is mounted to a plug which closes the bore of a modulator block. The piston is set in the sleeve while the inlet check valve is mounted to the end of the piston, and the sleeve is fitted into the plug to which the outlet check valve is mounted, so that the piston, the inlet check valve, and the outlet check valve are integrally assembled with each other and are mounted in the bore.
