Patent number: 7403602Abstract: A global computer network message delivery service is disclosed. A sender enters a short message for delivery to a recipient's telephone. The sender also enters the recipient's telephone number. The sender may also enter the telephone number that he can be reached at in case the recipient wants to converse live with the sender upon receipt of the message. The message and other entered information is authenticated and validated. The sender's billing telephone number is determined for billing purposes. A call leg is created from a service node to the switch hosting the sender's billing telephone number. The sender's inter-exchange carrier codes are determined and another call leg is created from the service node to the recipient's telephone. After the recipient answers, the service node plays the message (via text-to-speech technology) to the recipient. The inter-exchange carrier codes are used to bill the message service to the sender's billing telephone number.Type: GrantFiled: November 13, 2006Date of Patent: July 22, 2008Assignee: AT&T Delaware Intellectual Property, Inc.Inventor: Azhar I. Patent number: 7221739Abstract: A messaging system includes a messaging platform storing a message from a calling party, a switching mechanism for receiving a call from a subscriber to access the stored message, and a routing application at a server. The subscriber accesses the message at the messaging platform and signals for a callback connection with the calling party. In response, the messaging platform sends bookmark information to the routing application describing a current state of the messaging platform with regard to the subscriber. The routing application directs the switching mechanism to disconnect the subscriber from the messaging platform and connect the subscriber to the calling party. When the callback connection is completed, the routing application directs that the subscriber be re-connected with the messaging platform and sends the stored bookmark information back to same. The messaging platform employs such bookmark information to re-establish the current state.Type: GrantFiled: November 14, 2002Date of Patent: May 22, 2007Assignee: BellSouth Intellectual Property CorporationInventors: Azhar I. Khan, Navneet A. Patel

Publication number: 20070112410Abstract: A stent graft having graft material attached to a stent structure while providing a low profile to the stent graft in its crimped state. The graft material may be attached to an internal surface, an external surface, or both the internal surface and the external surface of the stent. The graft material may cover all or part of such surfaces. The stent graft is expandable upon delivery to the intended treatment site. The expandable nature of the stent graft may be accomplished by self-expanding materials, or through other methods, such as balloon expansion, as generally practiced in the art. The stent graft material is comprised of durable biocompatible materials as generally practiced in the art. The stent graft in its crimped state comprises a low profile fluid flow conduit that is preferably percutaneously delivered, but that may be surgically emplaced to the intended treatment site.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 15, 2005Publication date: May 17, 2007Inventors: Frank Butaric, I. Khan, Diana Sanchez

Patent number: 7177414Abstract: In a call forwarding system, a call from a calling party for a called party is received at a switching device and in response to the received call the switching device issues a request for call processing instructions to a control device. The call processing instructions request is received at the control device and in response to the received request the control device checks with the destination station to determine the availability thereof. The control device returns call processing instructions to the switching device including a telephone number of the destination station if the destination station is available. Similarly, the control device returns alternative call processing instructions to the switching device if the destination station is not available.Type: GrantFiled: September 17, 2002Date of Patent: February 13, 2007Assignee: BellSouth Intellectual Property CorporationInventor: Azhar I. Patent number: 7149300Abstract: A messaging system includes a messaging platform for storing a message from a calling party or transferring the calling party to a transfer station, a switching mechanism for receiving a call from the calling party to a subscriber, and a routing application at a server. The call from the calling party is connected to the messaging platform and the calling party signals to be transferred to the transfer station. In response, the messaging platform sends a transfer message to the routing application and the routing application directs the switching mechanism to disconnect the calling party from the messaging platform and connect the calling party to the transfer station.Type: GrantFiled: November 14, 2002Date of Patent: December 12, 2006Assignee: BellSouth IP CorporationInventors: Azhar I. Publication number: 20050118266Abstract: A sustained/controlled release formulation with reduced risk of dose dumping and side effects combines two components: component (a) comprises a pharmaceutically active agent and a water-insoluble, but water-permeable polymer, whereas component (b) comprises a pharmaceutically active agent and a hydrophobic material. By changing the ratio of a pharmaceutically active agent and water-insoluble, but water-permeable polymer comprised in the component (a) and/or the ratio of the pharmaceutically active agent and hydrophobic material comprised in the component (b), and ideal release rate, with reduced risk of dose dumping and side effects, can easily be achieved.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 27, 2002Publication date: June 2, 2005Inventors: M.Z.I. Patent number: 6616907Abstract: A novel method of producing metal chlorates is described which involves the reaction of ammonium chlorate with metal carbonates and/or metal bicarbonates. The reaction yields extremely pure metal chlorate, as well as ammonia and carbon dioxide by-products. These by-products combine to produce ammonium bicarbonate. The ammonium bicarbonate may then be reacted with sodium chlorate to produce ammonium chlorate, which may be recycled for use in the production of metal chlorates.Type: GrantFiled: June 7, 2001Date of Patent: September 9, 2003Inventors: M. Fazlul Hoq, Mohammed N. I. Khan
