Abstract: A system and method for performing electronic trading through serial numbers of merchandise is disclosed. The system includes at least a merchandise supplier end and a customer end. The merchandise supplier end prepares a merchandise database with merchandise and correspondent serial numbers. The customer end can order the merchandise by just inputting the serial number through an electronic device. Then, the device helps the customer end finishing the order to the supplier by just a keying of the customer end so as to prevent from conventional complicated process.

Abstract: A system and method for executing composite commands with consecutive single keystrokes to be applied to executable computer system platforms. By utilizing a string of digits entered by the user, the system searches a built-in digit-to-program index database for the target application program or function item associated with this string of digits, and then executes the program or function item.

Abstract: With the system and method for multimedia message interchange between different communication interfaces, the master server end receives a multimedia message through the numeral buttons and communication interface of the transmitting end, and the format of the multimedia message is converted to make the message usable after the receiving ends of different communication interfaces receive it. Thus the multimedia message is interchanged between different communication interfaces.

Abstract: A communicating apparatus with scanning function, the communicating apparatus comprising: a scanning module for scanning a bar code of a merchandise; a memory unit for saving the bar code of the merchandise; an encoding/decoding module for processing the bar code of the merchandise; a data transmitting interface for transmitting the bar code of the merchandise and its relevant data; a displaying module for browsing the bar code of the merchandise and the relevant data; and a central processing unit(CPU) for processing the memory, transmission, and communication of the bar code. As a result, user can scan the bar code of any merchandise to be purchased or inquired using the communication apparatus with scanning function, and then transmitting the data associated with the bar code as a radio wave to distant end process platform in-built with a database for all types of merchandise.

Abstract: A system and a method for processing wireless data are provided for use with products designated by bar codes. A customer can input a bar code of a product to an information center through telecommunication via an input interface of a portable electronic device such as cellular phone or personal digital assistant (PDA). Then, the information center transmits product information corresponding to the inputted bar code to a display interface e.g. screen of the portable electronic device, such that the customer can obtain the product information. This is therefore beneficially timesaving for allowing the customer to promptly acquire desirable information on products.

Abstract: An integrated circuit (IC) wafer container for holding IC wafers is disclosed. The IC wafer container comprises an enclosure member and a body member. The body member has one or more longitudinal openings through which the IC wafers contained therein can be pinched out or sucked out safely by using a pincer or a vacuum sucker without damaging the IC wafers.
