  • Publication number: 20190052019
Abstract: A high frequency connector is disclosed. The high frequency connector includes an insulating housing, a plurality of insulating pieces, and a plurality of terminals. Each of the terminals is respectively assembled to the insulating pieces. The plurality of insulating pieces are assembled to the insulating housing. Each of the insulating pieces has a first surface and a second surface. A plurality of recesses are formed on each of the first surface and the second surface. The recesses are arranged in parallel on each of the first surface and the second surface. A plurality of impedance adjustment holes are arranged on each of the first surface and the second surface in an interlaced manner. The impedance adjustment holes are disposed between the recesses. Each of the terminals is received in the impedance adjustment hole or the recess, so as to improve characteristic impedances and crosstalk interferences of the terminals.

  • Publication number: 20180294592
Abstract: An electrical connector includes an insulator body including a mating cavity formed by a top plate, a bottom plate and two lateral plates. Two surfaces of the top plate and the bottom plate facing each other have a plurality of terminal trenches. A plurality of conductive terminals are respectively arranged in the terminal trenches of the insulator body. Each of the conductive terminals has a contact portion, a welding portion and a main body portion connected to the contact portion and the welding portion. The welding portions extend out of the insulator body respectively. Each of thicknesses of the contact portions is less than each of thicknesses of the main body portions, or each of widths of the contact portions is less than each of widths of the main body portions.

  • Patent number: 9583866
Abstract: A receptacle connector includes a connector body at least suitable to mate with a plug connector having an insulating housing and a metal case. The metal case encompasses the outside of the insulating housing, and the metal case is made of a suitable metallic material. The connector body includes a plurality of metal terminals and a plastic base. The plastic base includes at least a tongue plate for the metal terminals to interpose therein. The plastic base forms a circumferential gap near a region in the vicinity of the tongue plate. The circumferential gap defines an accommodation space. When the receptacle connector and the plug connector are mated, the metal case at least partially encompasses the outside of the tongue plate. When the receptacle connector and another plug connector with a longer metal case are mated, the longer metal case is accommodated in the circumferential gap.

  • Publication number: 20160336693
Abstract: A high-frequency electronic connector includes an insulating main body, a terminal module and a metal shielding plate. The insulating main body includes a matching portion and a mounting portion. The terminal module includes signal terminals and grounding terminals. Each of the signal terminals and the grounding terminals has a docking portion, a main body portion, and a trailing portion. The docking portions extend out of the matching portion and are aligned in two opposite rows. The trailing portions extend out of the mounting portion. The main body portions are fixed on the insulating main body. The main body portion of each of the grounding terminals has a notch. The metal shielding plate is disposed at the notches and electrically connected with the grounding terminals. The metal shielding plate is located between the two opposite rows of the signal terminals.
