  • Patent number: 6442905
Abstract: A complete pre-fabricated tile counter is described that is already tiled and grouted and ready for installation upon a cabinet or other substructure, with or without a back splash or side splash panel. Counter tops including built-in sinks, and counters and splash panels may be produced economically in any style, shape and tile selected by a homeowner or builder prior to installation at a site. The invention counters are designed to be installed easily by the average homeowner or builders, in a minimum of time and with little mess to be cleaned up.

  • Patent number: 6420165
Abstract: A biologically pure culture of a microorganism is provided designated SH2A and deposited under ATCC Accession No. 55926, or a mutant derived therefrom. Further provided is a biologically pure culture of a microorganism designated SH2B and deposited under ATCC Accession No. 202050, or a mutant derived therefrom. A method of degrading an organic material such as sludge is carried out by treating the organic material with an effective, degrading amount of either SH2A or a mutant derived therefrom, or SH2B or a mutant derived therefrom. The microorganism designated SH2A or a mutant derived therefrom, or SH2B or a mutant derived therefrom, is grown by culturing the microorganism at a temperature and in a medium effective to promote growth of the microorganism.

  • Patent number: 6330774
Abstract: A system comprising a plurality of prefabricated tiled panels for installation on walls, floors and counters and intended for both interior or exterior use. Panels are selected to each include a particular segment of the overall tiled array. Thus, when all the panels are installed in a previously laid out configuration and the installation is completed, the installation displays the entire tile design without unsightly breaks. Provision is made for fastening panels to framing studs or flat surfaces. Each panel comprises a single base member made from any of a selection of materials that do not need waterproofing, and any size and type of tiles. It is easy to install by any relatively unskilled person. Benefits to builders and homeowners include good quality control due to the controlled manufacturing of the panels, low cost due to methods and materials employed, and practical low cost installation, requiring substantially less skill than that required for present day on site tiling.

  • Patent number: 5518414
Abstract: A connector assembly containing a V-shaped spring continuity bridge, which moves between a first position, in which continuity is maintained between two contacts, and a second position in which continuity between the two contacts is broken, upon insertion of a mating plug, the V-spring continuity bridge being mounted to the connector body via a mounting block. The V-shaped spring is formed so that a center portion thereof is radiused, and no sharp angles are present. This center portion loosely fits into a corresponding groove formed in the mounting block allowing for movement of the entire V-spring continuity bridge upon deflection caused by contact with the mating plug.

  • Patent number: 5249984
Abstract: An adapter including a front and rear conductive portion separated by a filter device and a non-conductive support, through which an RF-type cable connector can be inserted and mounted on a receiving connector on an external device. Because the conductive portions of the adapter are isolated from the panel by means of the disc capacitor, all DC ground currents are prevented from passing through the filtering device, effectively isolating the shell of the panel on which it is mounted, while all AC currents are passed through the filtering device to the panel on which it is mounted, effectively grounding any undesired radiating signals and preventing interference. The adapter can be supplied as a single unit which is simply inserted over the connector body before panel mounting.
