  • Publication number: 20240054087
Abstract: A system and method for automatically adapting the data protocol employed by a storage device to communicate with a mated media gateway device (“HMS”). The system and method utilize particular protocol conversions and data path switching in response to the detection of the particular protocol employed by the HMS. The technology enables a single type of storage device to be mated with a variety of HMSs, and autonomously adapt so as to establish and facilitate streaming data communications with the particular mated HMS. This enables a single storage device design to be utilized throughout a network of dissimilar HMSs.

  • Patent number: 9353595
Abstract: Systems and methods for quick access and control of a blown-out well or well that is flowing uncontrollably into the environment. Preferred embodiments of the present invention provide a re-entry of the casing of the blown-out well below the mud line and the inoperable blowout preventer. The present invention also provides a method to re-enter a production, or injection well, either subsea below the mud line or above the mud line for surface facility applications. According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, a miniature wellbore is created from the outer casing through the various smaller casing strings into the final wellbore to protect the structural integrity of the well. Once the casing is safely penetrated, coil tubing and or kill weight fluid can be introduced to stop the uncontrolled flow of reservoir fluid. The well can then be sealed with cement and abandoned as normal practice dictates.

  • Publication number: 20090319923
Abstract: This disclosure proposes a set of rules for modeling that enable the generation of complete UI implementations at varying levels of abstraction. It also describes an engine that can interpret these rules and generate said UI. It differs from the prior art as it is not dependent on the raw data structure from the database but rather allows the concepts and objects a user interacts with to be modeled and mapped. It provides an additional level of sophistication allowing role-based customization and layout styles.
