  • Publication number: 20230274206
Abstract: A computing system establishes a geofence associated with a particular service area. The system monitors a location of a computing device of a driver and detects when the driver enters the geofence. The system places the driver into a queue for the particular service area. The system receives a transport request from a computing device of a requesting user, where the transport request is associated with the particular service area. The system arranges the transport service for the requesting user in accordance with the set of rules by (i) selecting a driver from the queue to service the transport request for the requesting user, and (ii) communicating a transport invitation to service the transport request to a computing device of the selected driver.

  • Patent number: 11687851
Abstract: A computing system establishes a geofence associated with a particular service area, where the geofence corresponds to a set of rules for matching drivers with requesting users of the transport service. The system monitors a location of a computing device of a driver and detects when the driver enters the geofence. In response to the driver entering the geofence, the system places the driver into a queue for the particular service area. The system receives a transport request from a computing device of a requesting user, where the transport request is associated with the particular service area. The system arranges the transport service for the requesting user in accordance with the set of rules by (i) selecting a driver from the queue to service the transport request for the requesting user, and (ii) communicating a pickup location for the transport request to a computing device of the selected driver.

  • Publication number: 20220155298
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for predicting yield performance of a crop plant, comprising the steps of receiving metabolite measurements of the crop plant; determining new metabolite features by combining the received metabolite measurements, wherein at least one new metabolite feature is based on a classified average; providing the new metabolite features to a trained machine learning model; and determining yield performance of the crop plant using the provided model. It also relates to a method for training a machine learning model for predicting yield performance of a crop plant; a control unit configured to execute the method for predicting yield performance; to a plant breeding method and a farming method that apply said method; and the use of new metabolite features as determined in said method for prediction of yield performance.

  • Patent number: 11151489
Abstract: A computing system can monitor, in real-time, a location of each respective computing device of the plurality of computing devices based on location data received from a location sensor of the respective computing device, and determine whether to subject a respective driver using the respective computing device to either a default set of rules or an alternative set of rules associated with a geofenced area, based on the location of the respective computing device relative to the geofenced area. For the geofenced area, the computing system can implement a queue selection process for drivers. Outside the geofenced area, the computing system can perform a default selection process.

  • Patent number: 10282684
Abstract: A system for performing selective operations based on location data provided by mobile computing devices is disclosed. The system can receive location information from individual mobile computing devices and can detect when a certain event occurs in connection with a mobile computing device, where the event is related to a particular geographic region. Based on whether the event occurs, the system can perform an operation for or in relation to the mobile computing device.
