Abstract: This invention provides a liquid dispensing apparatus such as, for example, a liquid soap dispensing apparatus. The apparatus can be provided as a self-contained unit including a reservoir provided at a spaced location from a base. Sensor means are provided to allow the selective dispensation of liquid from the reservoir upon the detection of a part of a user's anatomy in a position between the liquid reservoir and the base. A motor can be connected to an outlet from the liquid reservoir which allows a portion of the liquid to be dispensed in a controlled manner, and the power source for the motor is typically a battery or batteries and the same are located in the base. The provision of the batteries in the base, a position remote from the liquid reservoir, protects the batteries from the liquid and means that the liquid reservoir need not be provided with a sealing cap to prevent liquid from entering the power source and damaging the same.

Abstract: The invention relates to a woven material which has improved drying characteristics and can also have heating and/or cooling effect in certain environmental conditions. The material is formed from a mix of polyamide and polyester with a plurality of strands with each strand formed from a plurality of spools of fibre woven together. The strands are then divided and subsequently woven to form the material. The material can then be used on its own or in conjunction with other material layers to form items of clothing, towels, bed linen and the like.

Abstract: The invention of the application relates to a bathing assistance device which is for use externally of but in contact with a bath. The device includes a portion on which the assisting person can kneel and the device typically extends to and over the rim of the bath so as to allow a person's arms to be supported thereon at the rim of the bath. The device is formed of sheet material such as neoprene and is easily storable by moving the portion which can be kneeled upon between an in-use position in which the same lies on the floor and a storage position in which the same lies substantially parallel with and flush to the side wall of the bath. In one embodiment, the portion which can be kneeled upon can be selectively removed from the remainder of the device so as to allow the same to be stored separately and/or positioned appropriately for kneeling upon.
