  • Patent number: 8633450
Abstract: An apparatus for determining MTF and DQE of an ionizing radiation imaging system/detector is provided, comprising a box having aligned windows transparent to an ionizing radiation beam. When the box is placed in front of the detector, the beam passes through the box. The apparatus further comprises: a KERMA module for measuring incident free-air KERMA; a backscatter baffle for preventing backscatter of the beam from the detector into the KERMA module; a scatter baffle for preventing scatter of the beam into the KERMA module, and to reduce backscatter from the backscatter baffle; at least one MTF module for enabling acquisition of at least one edge image. Each module and the at least one backscatter baffle are independently moveable in and out of the beam, such that open, dark and edge images may be independently acquired, and KERMA module measurements may be performed independent of image acquisition, to determine DQE.

  • Publication number: 20080046261
Abstract: A method and system for managing a direct repair program includes receiving one or more estimates of repair cost from one or more shops and determining which of the received one or more estimates are in compliance with one or more requirements. The one or more compliant estimates from the one or more shops and stored feedback on the one or more shops associated with the compliant estimates are provided to the source of the claim. A selection of one of the compliant estimates based on the compliant estimates and the stored feedback is received and the claim is awarded to the selected one of the one or more shops.

  • Publication number: 20080041858
Abstract: A canister has a base with a bottom, a side wall extending up from a perimeter of the bottom, and a top opening near a top end of the side wall. The canister can have a handle formed as a part of the back wall extending upward from the base above the side wall and around at least part of the top opening. The canister can also have one or more seals created at different points of contact between the lid and the base with the lid installed on the base. One of the seals can be formed between an upward facing ledge on the base and a downward facing shoulder on the lid. Another of the seals can be formed between an outward facing projection on a skirt wall of the lid and an interior surface of the base side wall. Another seal can be created between a gasket that is carried on an exterior surface of a lid skirt wherein a portion of the gasket bears against the interior surface of the base side wall. The canister can also have a positive lid retention structure.

  • Publication number: 20070190856
Abstract: A tool case for the storage of drill bits and similarly shaped tools includes two housing members that are hingedly attached and which open and close, with respect to one another. The tool case of the present invention includes elastomeric material surrounding the periphery of the tool case and tool trays on the inside of the case that retain inverted drill bits and similarly shaped tools. The tool trays disposed within the two housing members are removably attached to inner recessed cavities in the housing member by snapping male protrusions located on the tray into corresponding female recesses located on the inner surface of the recessed cavities.

  • Publication number: 20050120454
Abstract: A kneepad includes a base, a first and second mounting ring attached to the base, and an elongated strap removably attached to the first and second mounting rings. During use, the base is placed over a knee of user. The elongated strap is placed behind the knee of the user and a first end of the elongated strap is wrapped around the knee and inserted into the first mounting ring. A second end of the elongated strap is then wrapped around the knee and inserted into the second mounting ring. The first and second ends of the elongated strap are pulled through the first and second mounting rings to obtain a desired tension between the kneepad and the knee. Once the desired tension is obtained, the kneepad is secured to the knee.

  • Publication number: 20050120455
Abstract: A kneepad comprises a base defining an interior side and a sizing piece attached to the interior side of the base. Moving the sizing piece relative to the base determines the size of a knee that can be accommodated by the kneepad. To accommodate a large knee, the sizing piece may be rotated away from the center of the interior side of the base. To accommodate a small knee, the sizing piece may be rotated towards the center of the interior side of the base.
