  • Patent number: 11340913
Abstract: Systems and methods for implementing model-based application control frameworks are disclosed. In one embodiment, in an information processing apparatus comprising at least one computer processor, a method for implementing model-based application control frameworks may include: (1) breaking an application into a plurality of modules, wherein each module comprises a component of the application that is capable of running independently; (2) determining a plurality of attributes for each of the modules; (3) identifying a deployment platform for each module; (4) building an attribute model for the application based on the modules, the attributes, and the deployment platform; (5) identifying control requirements for the attribute model; (6) identifying actions to implement the control requirements; and (7) deploying the actions to implement the control requirements to the application.

  • Patent number: 5743690
Abstract: A threaded self-locking fastener, having a hollow body open at both ends and an elongated central through bore with a slot extending the length of the hollow body.Version 1 has sharp edges on the slot that dig into the bore of the work piece to prevent rotation. The fastener is used in conjunction with an internal driver. The driver located in the bore of the fastener engages detents to produce rotary drive motion. The driver also has a means of manipulating the first and second edges to facilitate assembly and disassembly.Version 2 has curved or chamfered edges in the slot and inward facing lobes also used in association with a driver. Rotation of the driver against the lobes causes the tubular fastener to be reduced in diameter against spring tension thereby allowing the fastener to freely rotate in the threaded bore of the work piece. By releasing the driver, the fastener expands and self locks in the threaded bore.

  • Patent number: 5549431
Abstract: A threaded tubular fastener having an elongated central through-bore having engaging means for engaging said through-bore with a rotary device having a rotary driver, a generally cylindrical body having an external surface with a main external thread formed thereon with a plurality of slots, said thread being larger than the diameter of a pre-drilled hole in a first work piece and a second mating work piece wherein the said threaded tubular fastener is employed to fasten the first work piece to the second work piece.

  • Patent number: 4582299
Abstract: A marine winch has a winch drum which is totally closed at the top, mounted on a base housing in bearings so as to rotate relative thereto on a vertical axis. The winch drum is driven in a given direction by pulling on a cord which is wound around a self-recoiling pulley in the base housing to thereby rotate the pulley and associated ratchet or clutch means and pinion gear which drives a gear ring on the winch drum. A sprag clutch is operatively connected between the winch and the base housing to prevent rotation of the winch drum in a direction opposite the given direction and to transmit load torque applied to the winch drum to a gear plate to automatically change gear ratios. An infinitely variable hydraulic drive means is also described.
