Patent number: 12230109Abstract: A valuable media sanitizing/cleansing cassette is provided for sanitizing/cleansing surfaces of valuable media dispensed to a consumer during a dispense transaction at a transaction terminal. Dispensed media is urged from one or more media cassettes within the terminal along a transport path. The transport path is altered to pass the media through the sanitizing/cleansing cassette where the top and bottom surfaces of the media are illuminated with Ultraviolet (UV) radiation to eradicate any bacteria or virus that may be adhered to the top or the bottom surfaces of the media. Once the media passes through the sanitizing/cleansing cassette, the now sanitized/cleansed media is urged along a remainder of the transport path and dispensed from a media interface of the terminal to the consumer. In an embodiment, media deposited at the terminal is also sanitized/cleansed by passing through the sanitizing/cleansing cassette before being stored in the appropriate media cassettes.Type: GrantFiled: December 27, 2023Date of Patent: February 18, 2025Assignee: NCR Atleos CorporationInventors: Ian McFarlane Denny, Stephen Anderson, Grant A. Patent number: 12205302Abstract: Techniques for performing fine-scale movement tracking of underwater objects are described. A computing device or system may receive timestamps corresponding to acoustic signals detected using an underwater acoustic receiver. The device or system may select a period of a known acoustic transmitter, and generate raw image data plotting the timestamps as graphical elements with respect to a first axis corresponding to linear time, and a second axis having a magnitude corresponding to the selected period. A first machine learning (ML) model may process the raw image data to generate segmented image data include a subset of the graphical elements determined to correspond to the selected period. A portion of the segmented image data, including the graphical elements, may be input to a second ML model to generate image data comprising a subset of the graphical elements corresponding to the selected period.Type: GrantFiled: December 13, 2022Date of Patent: January 21, 2025Assignee: Innovasea Marine Systems Canada Inc.Inventors: Oliver Sølund Kirsebom, Kayalvizhi Thanigainathan, Matthew Charles Richard, Frank Ian Smith, David Allen Ouellette, Samuel Victor Johnston

Publication number: 20240273101Abstract: A graph database for outbreak tracking and management is disclosed. In an example embodiment, an outbreak management system includes a memory device storing instructions that define a graph database for disease outbreak tracking. The instructions specify for a given host that a host node is created and an episode node is connected to the host node via a ‘case’ link. The episode node is associated with episode parameters that are related to a disease classification of the host. In addition, the instructions specify that an outbreak node is connected to the episode node via a ‘part of’ link to indicate that the host has become part of an outbreak of the disease. The outbreak node is connected to a definition node via a ‘defined as’ link. The definition node specifies disease parameters of the disease for outbreak tracking.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 22, 2024Publication date: August 15, 2024Inventors: Paul Randall, Ian Smith, Jonathan Haynes, Sam Wilkinson
