Publication number: 20240135786Abstract: A valuable media sanitizing/cleansing cassette is provided for sanitizing/cleansing surfaces of valuable media dispensed to a consumer during a dispense transaction at a transaction terminal. Dispensed media is urged from one or more media cassettes within the terminal along a transport path. The transport path is altered to pass the media through the sanitizing/cleansing cassette where the top and bottom surfaces of the media are illuminated with Ultraviolet (UV) radiation to eradicate any bacteria or virus that may be adhered to the top or the bottom surfaces of the media. Once the media passes through the sanitizing/cleansing cassette, the now sanitized/cleansed media is urged along a remainder of the transport path and dispensed from a media interface of the terminal to the consumer. In an embodiment, media deposited at the terminal is also sanitized/cleansed by passing through the sanitizing/cleansing cassette before being stored in the appropriate media cassettes.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 27, 2023Publication date: April 25, 2024Inventors: Ian McFarlane Denny, Stephen Anderson, Grant A. Patent number: 11904598Abstract: A conditioner includes a pressure roller assembly, a tension roller assembly, a heating element, a pressure roller drive motor, a tension drive motor, and a controller. The heating element heats the pressure roller assembly. The pressure roller drive motor rotates the pressure roller assembly. The tension drive motor rotates the tension roller assembly. The controller receives a print job complete notification to initiate a conditioner shutdown. In response to the print job complete notification, the controller turns off the tension drive motor. The controller sets the heating element to a predetermined temperature and waits a first predetermined period. In response to the first predetermined period elapsing, the controller turns off the heating element. With the heating element turned off, the controller turns off the pressure roller drive motor.Type: GrantFiled: July 25, 2018Date of Patent: February 20, 2024Assignee: Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P.Inventors: Jody L Clayburn, Ian Anderson, Brooke Hoyer

Patent number: 11689302Abstract: A server system accesses a profile of a user of the media-providing service. The profile indicates a demographic group of the user. For each media item of a plurality of media items, the server system determines a year associated with the media item. The server system selects content for the user based at least in part on an affinity of members of the demographic group, as compared to members of other demographic groups, for content from the year associated with the media item. The server system provides the selected content to a client device associated with the user.Type: GrantFiled: September 22, 2021Date of Patent: June 27, 2023Assignee: Spotify ABInventors: Clay Gibson, Santiago Gil, Ian Anderson, Oguz Semerci, Scott Wolf, Margreth Mpossi

Patent number: 11650815Abstract: Embodiments herein disclose systems, methods, and computer-readable media for quality control of an object relational mapping (ORM) application and correction of problematic cast functions in the context of a relational database management systems. In embodiments, source code is parsed and portions of source code are identified when those portions of source code include a problematic casting between data types or a mapping between a field and a source table. In embodiments, the source code portions are marked or flagged and a report is generated. The report identifies the marked or flagged source code and further specifies the location of the marked or flagged source code, in embodiments.Type: GrantFiled: May 12, 2021Date of Patent: May 16, 2023Assignee: Cerner Innovation, Inc.Inventors: Eric Christopher Winemiller, Ian Anderson, Nathan Krick, Sanjeev Janardan Nair

Patent number: 11305063Abstract: A medicament delivery device comprises a housing and a syringe axially movable in the housing and the syringe having a barrel. The device further comprises a stopper axially movable in the barrel and which separates a first chamber and second chamber from one another. The stopper is axially movable in the barrel in response to a vapour pressure being received in the second chamber. The device also includes a biasing mechanism to axially move the syringe in the housing between a first syringe position and a second syringe position in response to a first reduction in the vapour pressure in the second chamber. In the first syringe position venting of the propellant from the second chamber through a first fluid pathway is permitted to enable the first reduction in the vapour pressure in the second chamber while venting of the propellant from the second chamber through a second fluid pathway is substantially prevented.Type: GrantFiled: January 22, 2018Date of Patent: April 19, 2022Assignee: Consort Medical PLCInventors: Ian Anderson, Alastair Willoughby, Rachel Koppelman

Publication number: 20220054762Abstract: A syringe assembly comprising a barrel for containing one or more medicaments, the barrel having a front outlet for allowing the expulsion of said one or more medicaments from the said barrel through said outlet, and a first stopper disposed in the barrel and axially moveable therein and defining a first volume in the barrel axially forwards of the first stopper and a second volume in the barrel axially rearwards of the first stopper. The first stopper has a two way valve that is moveable between a sealing configuration and an open configuration to selectively put the first volume in fluid communication with the second volume. The two way valve is moveable from the sealing configuration to the open configuration by an increase in fluid pressure in either of the first and second volumes.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 5, 2021Publication date: February 24, 2022Inventors: Ian Anderson, Matt Ekman, Robert Glover, Rachel Koppelman

Publication number: 20210382681Abstract: An electronic device associated with a media-providing service has one or more processors and memory storing instructions for execution by the one or more processors. For each track of a plurality of tracks consumed by a user of the media-providing service, the electronic device receives, over a time window, an indication of user selection of the track to compile a listening history of the user and determines, based on the listening history of the user with the media-providing service, whether the track has previously been consumed by the user. The electronic device determines, for the user, a discovery score corresponding to an average preference of the user for selecting previously unconsumed tracks. In response to determining that an amount of use of the media-providing service by the user does not satisfy a use threshold, the electronic device forgoes recommending tracks to the user based on the discovery score.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 2, 2021Publication date: December 9, 2021Inventors: Clay GIBSON, Will SHAPIRO, Santiago GIL, Ian ANDERSON, Margreth MPOSSI, Oguz SEMERCI, Scott WOLF, Benjamin LACKER

Patent number: 11053066Abstract: A syringe propellable by propellant that boils at a predetermined temperature, the syringe including a barrel having an outlet at a front end, and a stopper axially moveable in the barrel. The stopper separates a first chamber and a second chamber, the first chamber being axially forwards of the stopper and being configured for containing a medicament, and the second chamber being axially rearwards of the stopper and being configured to receive propellant for acting on the stopper to move the stopper axially forwardly in the barrel to expel medicament through the outlet upon actuation of the syringe. The syringe further includes a third chamber for containing propellant. Upon actuation of the syringe, liquid propellant is released from the third chamber and boils outside of the third chamber at or above the predetermined temperature to provide an increasing vapor pressure in the second chamber that causes the stopper to move axially forwardly and begin to expel medicament through the outlet.Type: GrantFiled: June 7, 2013Date of Patent: July 6, 2021Assignee: CONSORT MEDICAL LIMITEDInventors: Ian Anderson, Rachel Suzanne Koppelman, Alastair Mckean Willoughby, Douglas Jennings
