  • Publication number: 20220103912
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure involve a system comprising a computer-readable storage medium storing a program and method for inserting ads into a video. The program and method provide for receiving a request to play a video, the video comprising plural shots separated by breakpoints, each shot of the plural shots corresponding to a contiguous sequence of video frames that is free of cuts or transitions; initiating, in response to receiving the request, playback of the video from a selected shot of the plural shots; receiving indication of an ad to present at a breakpoint following the selected shot; determining, in response to receiving the indication, that a first threshold amount of time has passed since initiating the playback of the video; and inserting, based on the determining, the ad at the breakpoint following the selected shot.

  • Publication number: 20220001560
Abstract: A grooming device. The grooming device includes a handle having proximal and distal ends, an implement connecting structure, grooming implement, displacement sensor, and power source providing power to the displacement sensor. The implement connecting structure is pivotably connected to the proximal end of the handle about a first handle axis and has a connection element and an eject element that is moveable within the implement connecting structure along a second handle axis. The implement connecting structure also has a location element pivotably connected to the eject element such that as the implement connecting structure moves about the first handle axis the location element remains stationary relative to the handle and as the eject element moves along the second handle axis the location element is displaced relative to the handle and the displacement sensor detects displacement of the location element. The grooming implement is connected to the implement connecting structure.

  • Publication number: 20220001556
Abstract: Sensor-based shaving systems and methods of analyzing a user's shave event are described for determining a unique threshold value of the user. A grooming device comprises a handle having a connecting structure connected to a hair cutting implement. A shave event sensor associated with the grooming device measures a user behavior, which includes collecting a first dataset comprising shave data defining a shave event. The first dataset is transmitted via a communication device and is analyzed to determine baseline behavior data of the user, and a unique threshold value of the user is determined from the baseline behavior data. One or more subsequent datasets, each comprising shave data of one or more corresponding shave events, is compared to the unique threshold value to determine comparison data. An indication is provided, based on the comparison data, to indicate a deviation from the threshold value and to influence the user behavior.

  • Patent number: 11214055
Abstract: A drive circuit (100) for driving actuators of a printhead (97) from a common drive waveform has a switching circuit (32) for coupling the common drive waveform to an actuator (1,2), and a timing circuit (10) to control the switching circuit to form a drive pulse from the common drive waveform. The drive pulse is trimmed by controlling a duration (TTRIM) of a step at an intermediate level (VHOLD) in the drive pulse. This can improve the trade-off between available range of trimming and thermal efficiency because the voltage drop across the switching circuit can be reduced, compared to trimming only the height. Decoupling during a flat portion of the common drive waveform can enable the timing of the decoupling to be more relaxed compared to decoupling during a slope. Such relaxing can enable costs, complexity and thermal loading to be reduced.
