Abstract: A solid non-effervescent compressed dosage form comprising an ibuprofen combined with a disintegrating component wherein the ibuprofen medicament is present to a an extent of 35% or more by weight of the dosage form, characterised in that the carrier material further includes an alkali metal carbonate or bicarbonate in an amount such that the dosage form has a crushing strength in the range 6.5-15Kp and a disintegration time of less than 10 minutes.
