  • Publication number: 20230085446
Abstract: A system for restricting spinal flexion includes a compliance member having a body and an elongation limit. The body typically comprises a spring or other tension element which provides elastic constraint to the spinal segment when the compliance member is attached to the spinous processes. The elongation limit prevents overextension of the compliance member, thus reducing the likelihood that the patient will experience over flexion of the spinal segment and reducing the risk of placing excessive mechanical load on the compliance member.

  • Publication number: 20220338905
Abstract: Spinal implants for limiting flexion of the spine are implanted between a superior spinous process and an inferior spinous process or sacrum. The implants include upper straps which are placed over the upper spinous process, while the lower portions of the implant are attached to the adjacent vertebra or sacrum. The attachments may be fixed, for example using screws or other anchors, or may be non-fixed, for example by placing a loop strap through a hole in the spinous process or sacrum.

  • Publication number: 20220323118
Abstract: A spinal implant for limiting flexion of the spine includes a tether structure for encircling adjacent spinal processes. Usually, a pair of compliance members will be provided as part of the tether structure for elastically limiting flexion while permitting an extension. A cross-member is provided between the compliance member or other portions of the tether structure to stabilize the tether structure and prevent misalignment after implantation.

  • Patent number: 11111007
Abstract: An aircraft landing gear assembly having a bogie beam, first and second wheel assemblies mounted on the bogie beam on longitudinally opposite sides of the bogie beam with respect to a bogie mounting bearing, a jacking dome mounted on the bogie beam to face a ground plane, and a guard that is distinct from the jacking dome and removably coupled to the bogie beam on an opposite side of the jacking dome with respect to the bogie mounting bearing. The jacking dome projects towards the ground plane by a first distance, and the guard extends from the bogie beam towards the ground plane by a second distance which is at least 0.9 times the first distance.

  • Patent number: 10689100
Abstract: An aircraft landing gear assembly having a main strut and a bogie beam pivotally coupled to the main strut via a coupling assembly. The coupling assembly is arranged to define a bogie beam pivot axis which is spaced from the landing gear assembly. The coupling assembly includes an arcuate handle portion defined by a first one of the bogie beam and the main strut, and an arcuate passage defined by the other one of the bogie beam and main strut. The arcuate handle portion is slidably housed within the arcuate passage, and the arcuate handle portion and the arcuate passage each define a respective centre point, the respective centre points being coaxial to define the bogie beam pivot axis.

  • Patent number: 10569862
Abstract: An aircraft landing gear having a shock absorbing strut and a shortening mechanism coupled between a walking beam and a shortening portion of a shock absorber. The shortening mechanism is arranged such that when the walking beam is at a first position due to a first extension state of the retraction actuator the shortening mechanism is in a locked condition in which it inhibits axial movement of the shortening portion within the strut element in the first direction axial direction, and as the retraction actuator changes in extension state from the first extension state towards a second extension state, the retraction actuator moves the walking beam which in turn causes the shortening mechanism to move the shortening portion within the strut element in the first axial direction to shorten the shock absorbing strut.
