  • Publication number: 20200143697
Abstract: An automated video role-play teaching system and process. In some embodiments, the system and process provides a software interface for teachers or others to establish situation scenarios for students, students to review the scenarios locally and locally record their role-play responses, which one or more teachers or others can then review in order to provide feedback to the students through the system. The interface can provide leaderboard ranking of students or role-play videos, selectable role-play scenarios established by a teacher or another, an automated calendar of role-play system related dates, such as due dates for example, and hot-seat role-play limiting the number of times a student can record the student's role-play into the system.

  • Patent number: 10419382
Abstract: A message post-processing apparatus provides an optional instrumented viewport to a message recipient to store message dispositions such as archive, reply-to, forward, open, move, delete, and each elapsed time-to-disposal (TTD) from display. The instrumented viewport also displays a proposed disposition and a proposed TTD, which may be overridden within the instrumented viewport. A timer is initialized to TDD when each message is substantially within the viewport. Absent user intervention, a disposer circuit performs the proposed operation on the message upon expiration of the TTD. The proposed TTD and disposition is derived from analyzing the history and quality of similar messages among recipient's dispositions. When a recipient changes the treatment of a message, the apparatus stores the new disposition and TTD for future reference. A synthesizer circuit transforms message body and headers and proposed TTD and disposition into a message precis.

  • Patent number: 10193850
Abstract: When a message contains an actionable request or question the invention measures a time til transmitted reply (TTTR). Replies which contain substantive answers such as dates, decisions, quantities, concurrence, or content are paired with their respective request for each sender-recipient directed dyad. The replies are categorized to the type of action taken in response to the request. The history of each dyad is examined to determine the relative importance each party ascribes to the other and a range of typical TTTR is stored. Questions, directives, and requests are discovered in a message by scanning for deadline words, calendar words, time words, urgency phrases, question words such as who what when, capability syntax, and agreement/disagreement alternatives. A user receives an alert when a response is nearly past a deadline or close to exceeding expected time to reply, immediately upon receipt, or both. An alert offers a potential response.

  • Patent number: 10063497
Abstract: Replies to electronic messages are prepared, customized, and personalized reflecting a relationship a recipient might have with a sender. Each received message is categorized by medium, meta-data, content, and relationship. A message queue is transformed from FIFO order to groups ordered by similar urgency, complexity, or both. A compositor operates on messages which contain requests for action, requests for information, or imperative directives. A sender's relationship with the message recipient influences both the priority and the voice of a proffered reply as well as the medium of transmission. Prefatory and operative components of the received message are transformed into selectable reply message components. Sentiment analysis of received requests and proposed replies ensures role-appropriate professional quality and respectfulness. The apparatus offers choices of appropriate tone and style to recipient for salutations, body, and closing.

  • Publication number: 20180218334
Abstract: An apparatus transforms a request for an introduction and a message archive into a submission to a selected intermediary for endorsement or denial. In embodiments, the submission may include time, place, manner and a gloss of her relationship of requestor to the selected intermediary. An intersection is sought among ranked correspondents of a requestor and strong influencers of a desired invitee to intermediate an introduction of requestor to invitee. A method suggests a proposed introduction message to a selected intermediary for endorsement based on measures of relationships the intermediary has derived from message archives. A method determines a relationship metric of the oldest and first introduction of one party to another. A method transforms a plurality of messages, a request, and a calendar into an exchange of proposed and endorsed introduction messages for and by a selected intermediary based on relationships inferred from the message archive.

  • Patent number: 9887947
Abstract: A circuit transmits a beneficiary to a benefits server when a message recipient has disposed of an incentivized message by opening and attending to the message. A navigation and viewport control circuit presents a précis of an incentivized message with a proposed time to disposition (TTD), a proposed disposition, and a proffered benefit for at least minimally engaging with the message; records the time the message is opened; and whether the required minimum has been attained. A message transformation and disposition apparatus retrieves, from a benefit server, a decay or expiration time, a required quantum of engagement, and a proffered benefit. Stored disposition history of recipient and peers is read to determine a proposed disposition and TTD according to user's preferences for benefits and their expiration dates. A timer causes performance of the proposed disposition depending on user's activity or inactivity. Engagement can require passive viewing or non-random interacting.
