  • Publication number: 20220040703
Abstract: An impact crusher is provided which comprises a frame defining a crushing chamber, a rotor provided with at least one hammer, at least one impact apron plate, and a rotor positioning device configured to adjust a rotational position of the rotor. The rotor positioning device comprises a piston motor coupled to the rotor and having a cylinder block comprising a plurality of cylinders; a plurality of pistons, a respective piston being slidably mounted in a respective cylinder; and a surface against which the pistons are configured to exert a force. The cylinder block and the surface are arranged for relative rotation, and the cylinder block or the surface is operatively coupled to the rotor, such that relative rotation of the cylinder block and the surface causes rotation of the rotor. The rotor positioning device is operable in first and second modes.

  • Patent number: 9421547
Abstract: A jaw crusher having a fixed jaw and a swing jaw disposed between opposing side walls of the jaw crusher. The swing jaw is movable relative to the fixed jaw for generating impelling forces to crush material present between the two jaws. The jaw crusher includes a cross beam which extends between the opposing side walls and a toggle plate is provided between a rear face of the swing jaw and the cross beam. Pressure cylinders are provided for applying a load to the cross beam, to provide a reaction to forces generated during movement of the swing jaw. The jaw crusher comprises a locking arrangement for selectively preventing substantial movement of the cross beam against the action of the pressure cylinders.

  • Patent number: 8033489
Abstract: An impact crusher includes a crushing chamber, a rotor mounted in the crushing chamber, and an apron having an impact surface, said apron being movably positioned within the chamber. The apron is pre-loaded to oppose forces generated within the crushing chamber. The apron is free to move away from the rotor in the event that the forces generated within the chamber exceed a predetermined threshold. During normal use, the apron is suspended within the chamber against a mechanical stop, and the apron is free to return to its initial suspended position after the removal of uncrushable material from the chamber.

  • Patent number: 7341213
Abstract: A jaw crusher (10) includes a fixed jaw (16) and a swing jaw (18), which define a crushing chamber (26). The swing jaw (18) is mounted for cyclic movement in the direction of the fixed jaw (16), for crushing material between the two jaws. A cross beam (42) is adjustably received in apertures (40) provided in the walls (12, 14) of the frame (11). A toggle plate (54) is operatively arranged between the rear of the swing jaw (18) and the front of the cross beam (42). An hydraulic cylinder arrangement (60) includes a pair of cylinders mounted one on either side of the frame (11) in a respective aperture (40), in operative engagement with the rear of the cross beam (42). In use, the cylinders are pressurised to a predetermined value to provide an adjustable, pre-loaded reaction against the toggle plate (54), in line with the side walls.

  • Publication number: 20060097095
Abstract: A jaw crusher (12) comprises a frame 16 having two side walls (22) and a pair of jaws (18, 20) disposed between the side walls (22), which define a crushing chamber (24) for receiving material to be crushed. A deflector plate (28) is pivotably mounted adjacent the outlet of the crushing chamber (24), which is movable under action of hydraulic cylinders (38) for clearing objects which become blocked in the outlet in use. The deflector plate (28) can be mounted on one of the jaws (18), on the frame (16) or on a discharge conveyor (14) positioned below the outlet of the crushing chamber (24).

  • Patent number: 6877610
Abstract: A screen assembly 22 includes a conveyor 26 pivotably mounted beneath a screen 24 for segregation of fractions of material, for example from a mobile crusher 10. Hydraulic cylinders (not shown) are used to selectively move telescopic arms 48 (only one of which is shown in the Figures), to raise or lower the conveyor 26 between operative position and inoperative positions. In the operative position the conveyor 26 is substantially parallel to the screen 24 for receiving material which has passed through the screen mesh, in use. In the inoperative position the conveyor 26 is angularly displaced relative to the screen 24 about the pivot, to provide access to the underside of the screen 24, e.g. for maintenance purposes. Removable pins 50 are provided for releasably securing the attitude of the conveyor 26 relative to the screen 24 in the operative position.
