  • Publication number: 20210281057
Abstract: A modular light switch and electric receptacle faceplate system is a system that enables users to create a custom faceplate that accommodates any combination of switches or outlets in a single-gang configuration or a multiple-gang configuration. The system may include a surrounding frame and at least one interchangeable faceplate assembly. The surrounding frame enables the quick assembling of the custom faceplate by receiving the at least one interchangeable faceplate assembly. The at least one interchangeable faceplate assembly is a faceplate assembly that can accommodate different types of electrical devices such as switches or outlets. The at least one interchangeable faceplate assembly can be easily fastened to the surrounding frame to form the custom faceplate.

  • Patent number: 8119389
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for preparing (2R,3S)-1-halo-2-hydroxy-3-(protected)amino-4-substituted butane comprising contacting a mutagenized Rhodococcus erythropolis having ATCC deposit no. PTA-6648 with (3S)-1-halo-2-oxo-3-(protected)amino-4-substituted butane substrate. The present invention also relates to a process comprising mixing (2R,3S)-1-halo-2-hydroxy-3-(protected)amino-4-substituted butane with at least one base in the presence of at least one solvent to produce a reaction mixture containing (2R,3S)-1,2-epoxy-3-(protected)amino-4-substituted butane. The present invention further relates to a process comprising crystallizing the (2R,3S)-1,2-epoxy-3-(protected)amino-4-substituted butane out of the reaction mixture by concurrently adding water and the reaction mixture together. The present invention is also directed to a mutagenized Rhodococcus erythropolis having ATCC deposit no. PTA-6648.

  • Publication number: 20060271992
Abstract: A method for characterizing a load on a data line includes the steps of: (A) Applying at least three successive voltages to the data line. Each respective odd-numbered successive voltage of the at least three successive voltages has substantially a first voltage value displaced a first voltage interval from a reference voltage value. Each respective even-numbered successive voltage of the at least three successive voltages has substantially a second voltage value displaced a second voltage interval from the reference voltage value. (B) Measuring a respective current value on the data line while each of the at least three successive voltages is applied to the data line. (C) Comparing the respective current values for selected successive voltages of the at least three successive voltages to determine whether a hysteric impedance change occurs when voltage on the data line is varied.
